Made a trip to the bakery supplies shop in Taman Megah and spotted Fatty Crab. Having heard of its reputation, we decided to stop for a meal. The menu is pretty limited and I was rather surprised that they don't even serve a simple plate of vegetables (the green monster in me was rather disappointed). The crabs are cooked in 2 methods only: steamed or in sour and spicy sauce. Of course, we opted for the latter. This was about 900g. As you can see the crabs are not gigantic but they certainly pack
As you can see the crabs are not gigantic but they certainly packed quite a lot of flesh! The sauce was excellent (although I suspect, contains quite a lot of MSG), perfect match with the slightly sweet crab meat. Definitely lives up to its reputation. They serve a decent plate of fried rice. Plenty of wok hei, with crunchy vegetables (hooray for vegetables), fluffy egg, some prawn bits and chicken. (Fatty Crab is pork free). We gobbled this up in no time.
The aroma of chicken wings (they were frying them not far from us) was killing us but we resisted this time. Service here can be a bit arrogant, but generally quite efficient. The price wasn't too expensive (RM38 per 600g, minimum 900g).
