Special thinly sliced pork meat and eaten soup or dry, the noodles are too exceptionally good! Unlike other type of pork meat elsewhere that you will find them slimy and aged, theirs here are perfectly soft and smooth! Noodles are mixed with the perfect seasoning thus you will enjoy from the first till the last bite!

What is Beaufort noodles? Basically it is a bowl of magic madness in Kota Kinabalu! Eat it with their chili for that extra kick! Plus another must try here would be the Fried Omelet with Cha Sao! Remember to order it!

5. Ying Jie Ban Mian Coffee Shop

A bowl of good Ban Mian comes with fried anchovies, sweet potato leaves, mushroom slices, meat and most important that handmade Ban Mian that is slippery smooth yet nice biting texture! Sweet hint of broth from the Ban Mian, mix some homemade chili that keeps the broth texture spicier and nicer! Long queue during lunch hours, be sure to get there earlier!

6. Restaurant Wun Chiap

Tamparuli is a town that is located on the way when you visit Mount Kinabalu. Here comes the magic – Tamparuli noodles obviously a hit in Kota Kinabalu and Restaurant Wun Chiap a must visit place when you are here. Springy but lack of eggy taste, this noodle is almost similar to Tuaran mee except they are springier than it. Fried with cha sao and egg, try this Tamparuli noodle when you’re here!

7. Tuaran Mee

Tuaran noodle are no longer strange to you as they are widely available around Kota Kinabalu, especially the one with pork meat. What if you’re about to try Tuaran noodles are with Beef and cooked with rice wine instead? Superbly fragrant, rice wine makes the texture unbelievably different from the rest. A new special invention that gets approval from many!

8. Kah Hiong Zhu Chap

Kota Kinabalu is famous for Ngiu Chap (Beef Offal / Tripe) and now – Zhu Chap (Pork Innards). Of course, if you do not like pork innards, they have the ordinary ones too. Still the crowd pleaser, you have to enjoy it at least once when you’re at this restaurant! Stewed pork meat and innards, they are of course not a healthy choice but no one could ever resist it! Apart from their homemade noodles by their owner, a must try no matter what!

9. Kota Belud Mee Soup

Craving for a bowl of piping hot chicken noodle? Looks plain simple, but the secret lies between the soup stock and the noodle. Ingredients used for the chicken stock are homemade, so are their noodles too. No MSG used and no added coloring, they are the famous Kota Belud noodle served with steam chicken.
