This is most famous and 老字号 teochew chendol in Penang. The stall is crowded every day especially weekends. Besides chendol they sells ais kacang and red bean ice too. A bowl of chendol comes with red beans, coconut milk and gula melaka. I love the red bean the most as is really soft and sweet, the coconut milk with gula melaka is really fantastic too. I often request for more ice because is too sweet and due to the hot weather, the ice melted too fast.

This is one of the place I must visit when I go to Penang. -- 高佬沙河粉!! Koh Low Sar Hor Fun is a stall inside Yi Garden Cafe (怡园茶室). Its located at corner of the T junction between Macalister Road and Lorong Selamat.

Penang style Sar Hor Fun is a mix of fried mee hoon and hor fun with thick gravy and usually without egg. Additional RM0.50 for egg.I ordered mine with egg because i feel its more delicious with it.The Hor Fun (河粉) is bigger and broader in pieces which is very different from those kueh teow (粿条) of Wah Tan Hor (滑蛋河) we have in KL. The Hor Fun here is smooth and the mix with mee hoon is totally different from Wah Tan Hor. Koh Low Sar Hor Fun comes with fresh prawns, pork fillet, fish fillet and some vege. Their mee hoon and hor fun has the ''kuali'' fried fragrance. Delicious !!!

Besides, they also serve normal noodles such as loh mee, yee mee fried noodles upon request.

Apong Guan @ RM0.40
Apong Guan stall is located along Jalan Burma, roughly opposite a primary school. The seller is very friendly and will entertain us while we standing aside waiting for our apong. He will ask you to come later if his has alot of order in queue. Each apong just cost 40 cents very worth waiting for the delicious dessert. There are slices of banana and some sweet corn in it. Each bite is so flavourful and aroma of the little roasted taste.

Lebuh Cecil Market is one of the biggest market in the city. There are wet markets and also food stalls operating from day to night.Mee Jawa
This mee jawa is one of the most famous stall in the market. Normally the workers will just keep cooking and taking orders. It's served with dry bencurd, tofu pok, sliced pork meat, bean sprout and prawns. Then topped with a thickish orange in color gravy which is made out from potatoes. I tried once and fall into it every time i visit this market. The gravy is so duper sourish to open up one's appetite. It has a strong nice aroma too. All the ingredients in it is fresh even the prawns. Some sambal chili is served separately at the spoon. Added some may enhance the taste but i normally it without chili, like its original taste.

It comes with a Tomato Strudel and I upgrade to Cappuccino. This is my first time drinking pacific coffee and i was stunned with the thick foam on top of the cup but did not overflow. The foam is quite thick and taste with a mild coffee aroma. The cappuccino is quite nice and i can really taste the light bitterness without adding sugar. The Tomato Strudel is a pastry topped with lots of brown sesame and stuffed with dry tomato paste. The paste is very sourish and tasty while the strudel pastry is very crunchy. It's addictive eating it.
