A place to hang out OK Jun 13, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Steaks / Chops | Noodles | Private Party

It divides to open and cosy air-conditioned areas. The place is quite huge, so it is suitable for gathering or loitering with friends. But, the sofas are dirty- doesn’t do maintenance.

For food, the cheese baked rice and wa-tan-hor are not bad whereas the other 2 foods was disappointed us.

The wa-tan-hor is tasty. It is big portion and lots of noodles. The dressing is thick. It is nice!

The chicken is sweet. My friend says this is weird and the taste doesn’t marry with the food. At last, I exchange my wa-tan-hor with her. (See her so pity to finish it). It is serving in cold. sad

For this, the bowl so big but it is so little for the food inside. The soup doesn’t taste good. sad Not nice

For birthday babies, 3 days before and after of your birthday, just show them your identity card(IC), you will entitle for a huge nai-cha (milk tea) for free. This is enough for 4 of us on that day. Thanks to birthday boy on that day and thanks to Wong kok for a free drink! lol

Fruit buffet Cry Jun 13, 2012

Drive straight to SS2 just for my durian buffet dinner. tongue

The man helps us to open the durian. At first he just opens 2 durians for us. He will only open new durian after we finish the one on the table.

Some of the durians are fresh but some are not. Few of the durians are watery. Most of the durians are sweet taste. If you are hunt for bittersweet durian, hardly have it here, unless you wish to buy the good type of durian. They are also selling the durian and charge it per kg price.

He mostly opens the small durian where there are only 2-3 seed inside. Then I need to ask him open again and again.

Durian buffet just can give me the quantity but not quality.sad

This mamak is newly opened in bangi lama. Taking over from the previous mamak business, the new owner had upgrading this mamak. There are two sections; open area and air conditional room. The owner is a friendly person.

After spotted this supper place, my family and I continuously ate supper here for 2 weekends.

The thing I would like to share with openrice is, both visit we also had ordered maggi goreng (fried maggi noodle), but the funny thing is its looks differently on our second visit. First time the maggi goreng is in white, second time it’s this colour

Lack of QC??? Or maybe the first time we asked for not spicy……
But both try also nice and tasty.

The roti canai is not bad too. The dough is stretched well. The roti is thin and not greasy. Served with 2 sauces; fish curry and dhal.

banana plate Smile Jun 04, 2012

Banana leaf rice, RM7.70

The plate is replaced with the banana leaf. Then the staffs will add some of side dishes. There are salad, dhal, vegetable, beans, fried bitter gourd, fried potato and papadam.
It’s my first time eating bitter gourd like this-fried with seeds.

Although I dislike papadam, but their papadam really taste different. It’s very crispy and don’t have the typical Indian papadam taste.

They will pour the rice and you may have it in your ideal quantity. There are several sauces (for instant fish curry, dhal, chicken curry and one more I forgotten what it is) to be chosen to pour on top of the rice.

Overall, the rice is married well with all the side dishes and its dressing. Not too spicy because I choose for dhal and fish curry. They also served us cold water using the Indian cup.

It is another dining experience- Indian cuisine. Like it!

Just like in Hong Kong Smile Jun 04, 2012

Categories : Chinese | Stall / Warung | Desserts

One of the things must do when you are in Hong Kong is you must try this Hui Lau Shan healthy dessert. Those amazing mango desserts are now here in Malaysia. Their first branch is at 1utama. As expected, there will be many people join the crowd. We need to queue few minutes in order to get a table.

Mango Romance, RM 12.90
To taste all, we ordered mango romance. Some of the mango is sweet but some not-sour.

Supreme coconut stewed bird nest with harsmar, RM 22.90
I saw someone wrote this in his food blog, decided to try it myself. We can have it neither cold nor hot. I try it in hot. Actually I should try it in cold because my friends says bird nest better to have it in cold. But it’s okay la, I will try it cold next time.

It’s delicious and I believe everyone knows the nutrition of bird nest right. So I think many girls will definitely like this dessert. Haha! The coconut taste level is just nice. I can finish it all by my own. After finish all the drinks inside the coconut, we can eat the coconut meat as well. They use young coconut to make the dessert. Mmmmm………thumb up for this!!!

Mix and match, RM4.90
My friend chooses zimi pudding and mango pudding. The portion is small la. You can bite the black rice and there are small cube of yam on the bottom of the pudding.
