Reverse Pork Burger Smile Jul 01, 2012

Many people may not know about this shop because it's hidden away in a row of shop in BU4, nearby to new wing of One Utama.

I had to make an appointment to ensure that I have a table because the seats here are quite limited, so remember to call before you visit!

Let's go to the main point. In the picture above, on your left is Gary's Cool Green (apple + aloe vera + honey) while on your right is Summer Splash (watermelon + orange + grape ). I've drank both and I preferred the Gary's Cool Green because it's more refreshing to me as it only contains one type of fruit juice. I'm not saying that the other is bad but due to the presence of 3 different types of fruit juice being mixed together, none of the taste stands out, which in turn causing the drink to be quite normal.

For the main course, bf and I ordered the famous reverse pork burger (RM30).

So why is it called a reverse pork burger? That's because unlike any normal burgers, this huge burger consists of 2 huge pork patties sandwiching a slice of toasted bun in between with other ingredients like cheese, tomato slices, lettuce, and bacon.

Here's a closer look. The patties are very juicy and flavourful, each mouthful explodes with new taste in my mouth. The fries on the side are too much to me, given the fact that I'm already bloated after finishing the burger but I did take some and I find them to be crispy and salty, just the way I like.

Simple Snack on a Saturday Smile Jul 01, 2012

Located at one of the busiest streets in Dataran Sunway, I Heart Yogurt is another shop which sells frozen yogurt. Unlike Tutti Frutti or Moo Cow, I Heart Yogurt also serves main courses like fish and chips and the likes. Simple but pretty setting of the restaurant makes one feel cozy.

Over here, one can choose 3 different sizes of yogurt servings:
Simple Snack (RM8.50 with 2 premium toppings)
Meet Me Halfway (RM13.50 with 3 premium toppings)
Larger Than Life (RM17.50 with 4 premium toppings)

There is only original and seasonal flavour (mango for now) frozen yogurt for the customers to choose from. I’m impressed that I Heart Yogurt has over 40 different toppings provided. To top it off they have a corner which allows us to add on additional toppings without additional charges! How awesome is that? lol

I chose original flavour with dragon fruit and longan as toppings, honey star as extra free toppings. I usually don’t like original flavour because it’s always too sour in my opinion but the one at I Heart Yogurt is acceptable to me. Not to mention that the toppings I chose have made my yogurt to be sweet.

Made fresh daily and with no artificial flavours and additives, I foresee that this will become my new favourite dessert for its price compared to other froyo providers smile

Crazy Crans Smile Jul 01, 2012

One Utama outlet always has a long queue.

This is my weekly dosage of Juice Works.

The combinations of cranberries, cranberry juice and mango has given its name - Crazy Crans. It's supposed to be good for our kidney and bladder.

Generally, the taste of this drink is rather sourish than sweet due to the fruits used. Even though the sweetness of mango balances the sourness of cranberries, the latter still overpowers the overall taste because it's using cranberry juice as the base.

Refreshing and good for health, get one this for yourself today! lol

Longan & Red Date Juice Smile Jul 01, 2012

Weather has been terrible lately and since I was lucky enough to find a parking nearby Chatime store in Kota Damansara (the traffic there is really bad, trust me), I went down and bought myself a regular cup of Longan & Red Date Juice at the price of RM4.90.

The menu of Chatime is extensive and consists of several categories, they are Mellow Milk Tea series, Fresh Tea series, Coffee series, Chatime Special Mix series, Oriental Pop Tea series, QQ Jelly series, Energetic Healthy Juice series and last but not least, Smoothie series.

I find my drink to be refreshing enough and I could taste both the flavour of longan and red date in it. However, the taste of longan is slightly weird. To me, it resembles the taste of raw cucumber juice. Bits of dried longan and red dates are included too. All in all, it’s good to have this drink on a hot day as it’s considered healthier than other series.

Knife Cut Noodle Smile Jul 01, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles

It wasn’t my first time dining in at Jojo Little Kitchen but it was my first time ordering the Knife Cut Noodle with dried prawn soup.

The thickness of pan mee is equally thick and the soup is indeed very flavorful, many thanks to the combinations of sweet leaf and dried prawns. However, the soup tasted quite “pepperish” to me, causing it to be slightly spicy, maybe it’s meant to cover up the smell of dried prawns. As I know, some people find the smell to be “disturbing” or “smelly”.

Add in this if you want your soup to be more spicy! Extra ooomph!

The minced pork tasted delicious to me, it had carrot bits in it as well and resembles the filling of a wantan in terms of taste and texture. Anchovies are crunchy but I wish Jojo could serve a larger serving.
