Pretty soon, lunch was served and feeling adventurous, I decided to go for the Niçoise Beef Tartare because I've never had raw beef before and decided to see how it taste like.

The beef was nicely chopped and seasoned to perfection while the other ingredients on top of it like quail's egg, alfalfa, olive, bread all provided more of a crunch than a taste to the beef tartar but was delectable. The dabs of sauces which I think it's olive oil and some tartar sauce and vinaigrette. It provided some acidity to the dish but I still prefer to eat the beef tartar without the sauce.

I pinched some of the Big Breakfast that is nearby to had a taste:

Loved the poached eggs, lightly seasoned which let's the egg flavor shine through. Dipping the beef tartar with the egg yolk provided an nice unique taste to it!

Just before heading to this dessert outlet that serves 100% natural and genuine ingredients without artificial flavoring and preservatives, I was having a thought of taking my lunch at one of the many eateries that are available at The Gardens/Mid Valley Megamall. But to my dismay when I arrived, most outlets that I wanted to eat in were packed to the brim and had a line of people waiting to be seated. So I decided to just skip it and dive straight to the Gelatos and Sorbets and have it as my lunch instead!

Yeah, I know it sounds crazy but this is one those crazy things that I felt like doing at that moment. Did I succeed? How many did I gobbled down? Did I get a stomachache later that day or a day later? Find out later!

We were given the freedom to pick and choose any flavors that are available when we were there and eat to our hearts content.
Many of the flavors are common with 2 that are unique to me.
The unique flavors are a mixture of 2 flavors together.

By the way, those that are fruit flavor are Sorbets while the rest are Gelatos.

Of course, I started off with the unique ones there the Gianduia:

The Gianduia is a mixture flavor of Hazelnut and Chocolate. By the way, all of the ice creams can add on dipping like chocolate sauce and such and toppings to be coated like Hazelnuts, Almonds and Pistachios. The Gianduia flavor consists mainly of chocolate taste with the toppings adding additional crunch and nutty taste to it.

The next I tried was another unique flavor which is the Vanilla + Pistachio flavor:

Again the chocolate sauce coated with nuts provided the crunch and nutty taste to it but since vanilla was a milder flavor comparing to chocolate, it wasn't as overpowering over the nuts as the chocolate taste in Gianduia.

I then proceeded to taste one of the Fruit Sorbets plain and decided on the Strawberry:

Nice and refreshing. The sweetness is just right and not too sweet like how a lot of dessert places make their ice cream too sweet. Easy to bite through and doesn't flake apart, soft yet solid enough to hold.

I next went back for a Gelato. And this time I chose Hazelnut with some dipping and topping half on:

Hazelnut has quite a chocolatey taste to it and I regretted adding on the topping as it puts more emphasis of the chocolate taste. But nonetheless, the base was creamy and provides a pleasant bite to it.

I later tried the Green Tea flavor:

No surprises there that this weren't up to my expectation like most Green Tea Flavored ice creams since the Green Tea powder seems to be too apparent and feels grainy unlike other flavors which are creamy and smooth and goes down well with my palate.

Still able to continue on to more sticks, I proceeded to have the Coffee Flavor:

When I first heard of this place, I was expecting something along the lines of authentic Malay food since it's smack dab in the middle of a kampung village which I've never even traveled into before. Due to a lazier side of me, I overslept my appointment time but thankfully, manage to get there just as they were about to serve the food. *Phew*

When I arrived at the place, I was delighted to be greeted with such a beautiful and lofty exterior that looks amazing with it's surroundings.

But my first thought was where do people park? Since the front yard does not have much space. It was later clarified that people may park alongside at the side area and even if there still isn't enough space due to here for a function or such, they may park at alongside the road or the Rukun Tetangga nearby. They needn't worry of the cars blocking since the road is quite wide which I do agree.

Inside it's high walls, I marveled upon it's large dining place with a surrounding area that can be likened to a resort.

The environment of this place very much puts me at ease and makes me feel more carefree, as if I'm here for a short holiday to get away from it all. It's peaceful and tranquil.

It's also quite a romantic place for a date with it's low but ample lighting, serene surroundings and no traffic to be heard despite on an outdoor area.

No doubt, I may be impressed by it's settings, but I'm also ultimately here to try their food.

We were served with this reddish looking drink called the Asmara Punch:

Presentation-wise looks superb. The drink is very sweet and tasted like Rose Syrup to me predominantly. Loved the heart-shaped watermelon on the glass though.

We started off with some bite-sized Cocktail Thai Fish Cake:

The Thai Fish Cake was definitely made as the main of this dish.

The rest of the ingredient along atop and below the fish cake lightly complements it with the crispiness of the bread below doing most of the work.

Here we have the Asmara Kentang Goreng, English - Fries:

Kota Damansara, a place where the nightmarish traffic springs up and the ever constant road works and MRT construction exists ever since this place came up. But the traffic congestion aren't as bad as it used to be so it's okay. lol

de' Amour Cafe is located near Sunway Giza Mall where shops over there are teeming with eateries.

This place looks almost like a boutique with it's prettiness and dollhouse like interior.

Some great Fresh Flower Tea were served as we await for our party to be complete. The choices of Flower Tea are Jasmine, French Rose Buds, Lavender, Chrysanthemum Buds, Chamomile, Apple Flower, Rosemary, Peach Flower, Globe Amaranth, Calendula where it ranges from RM7-RM8 per pot.

Their tea cup that looks like a small fish bowl is one that I have seen before:

And that was the time when I was invited to dine at Paradise Inn at Sunway Pyramid.

Anyway, back to this cafe, I'm very glad to find one delight of mine here.
And that is Sapporo Beer!!!

I'm sure to be back again for my Sapporo Beer fix. lol

Once it was time to delve into the delicacies, we were initially served the Appetizers.

To me, the star dishes of this place are the Appetizers.
First up, the best of the best, the Smoked Duck Breast Salad:

Available at RM15, the duck breast in the mixture of vegetables are plentiful. It's meat is succulent and tender almost bacon-like in flavor. The salad dressing that went with this dish I think is the Balsamic Vinaigrette? It tasted like it. Anyway, beside lettuce, there's some onion and a little bit of tomato and cucumbers too. A truly marvelous dish.

The next appetizer is also a joy to be had and it's the Baked Scallops with Spicy Cream Sauce:

It was the first outlet that I visited and I never regret visiting it. I've seen Oyster King at quite a few locations before but had never tried it in my life due to the fact that I'm not an oyster lover although I do eat it on rare occasions such as these.
The owner of the outlet was enthused and attended to us in a very nice and friendly manner. She pointed out to us that the star dish at Oyster King is the O-Chien (fried oyster) which I most definitely agree with her.

It was yummy to me and the mix of omelette with the oyster is nice. However, the price is RM9. But if you're craving for it, it's definitely the go-to dish in this outlet.
