I am sure most of you out there know that Tony Roma's is famous for their baby back ribs. But my friends and I were there for their fish dishes instead.

At Tony Roma's one first need to choose the fish type (salmon or pacific cod). Secondly, choose the flavor which is prepared in 3 ways (Grilled, Blackened or Pan-seared with a Sesame Crust). And lastly, choose the toppings (Sweet Thai Chili Sauce, Kickin' Sauce, Garlic Scampi Butter and Tomato Pesto Salad).

Both Vincent and I chose the pacific cod fish. I had the blackened cod; while Vincent had the Mojo cod. Each dish was served with rice and vegetables.

Blackened Cod + Rice +Brocoli in Kickin Sauce (RM 39.90)

I blame my small tummy because I can't finish the whole plate by myself. Left plenty of rice..The rice were actually pretty good because it was slightly buttered and flavored with garlic....The fish is grilled to perfection and is very fresh and juicy. Don't have the fishy taste. The fish tasted just right with the kickin sauce where the sauce is slightly spicy and creamy....Thumbs up......

Mojo Cod + Rice + Brocoli (RM 44.90)

Just like my blackened cod, the mojo cod is fresh and grilled to perfection. The sauce is made from brown mustard and has slight citrus taste in it. Besides, the fush is also topped with pineapple salsa sauce which is one of Tony Roma's special in-house sauce.....Yummy yummy.....

Two weeks ago, Jol & I went to the newly opened Paradigm Mall in Kelana Jaya for a movie. After the movie, we had our dinner at Sushi Zanmai. This is actually my first time eating at Sushi Zanmai. There are currently 10 Sushi Zanmai outlets in Malaysia (including Hokkaido Sushi at 1 Utama and Hokkaido Ice Cream at Paradigm Mall). Sushi Zanmai brand themselve as the genuine conveyor-belt Sushi Restaurant. Service was good there. They constantly refill the ocha (RM 2) for us.

The sushi in Sushi Zanmai is priced according to the plates' colours. Price starts from Rm 1.80 for yellow plate and highest is RM 6.80 for red plate. Jol and I had 3 plates of sushi for that night.

Blue plate sushi (RM 2.80)

Wee.....my cheap tamago sushi. The way they top the sushi with mayonnaise made it very attractive...nice and sweet.....

Pink plate sushi (RM 3.80)

I'm not sure what is the name of this sushi but it is topped with mini fried shrimps...not bad......

Black plate sushi (RM 4.80)

Again, I am not sure what is the name of this sushi but the sushi rice is wrapped in tofu skin....Again this is topped with mayonnaise. A clever way to make it tastier...

Aside from the sushis above, we also ordered the following Ebi Okonomiyaki for a price of RM 12.80.

Ebi Okonomiyaki

Okonomiyaki is actually a type of Japanese pancake topped with a variety of ingredients. Ours is topped with mini fried shrimps. The main base of the pancake is actually made from egg made into omelette. With the crispy shrimps and mayonnaise, just one bite and you will definitely love this pancake. The portion served is just right to be shared by 2 people.........Yummy yummy........

Tiramisu Smile Jul 22, 2012

This is my first time buying Tiramisu from Coffee Bean. I was attracted to the cakes attractive appearance with ladyfinger cookies as decorations surrounding the cake. Thus, I got myself a piece of tiramisu from them at RM 9.90. Though pricey, but it is too tempting. For those who are interested in buying the whole cake, Coffee Bean is selling it at RM 98.

Lovely box to fill my tiramisu

The sponge cake is moist and soft laced with coffee. The mascorpone cheese in the cake is just so good making it irresistable. Besides, the amount of cocoa powder being dusted on top of the cake is just right......not too much or too little.........Yummy but still can't beat the Tiramisu cake from Alexis...

Big ladyfinger cookies....soft and sweet........

Dinner at Bid Nose Smile Jul 22, 2012

I just recently found out about Big Nose Restaurant's location in Kuchai Lama while I dines at Ipoh Salt Baked Chicken Restaurant. It is in the same row as Ipoh Salt Baked. When I was there, I saw the owner posted lots of photos of celebraties who have been there. Among them are Hon Kong's Bosco Wong, Justin Lo and Malaysia's Ah Niu as well as the Malaysia badminton team such as Datuk Lee Chong Wei.

Big Nose is famous for their seafood and also steamed fish but I was there not for their seafood and fish because there were only 2 of us. Wanted to try their steamed patin fish but the price is pricey and too big for the 2 of us. Thus, we settled for their claypot tofu and salted egg mantis prawn.

Claypot Tofu (RM 10)

The tofu given were of good quality and huge in size. Other ingredients are roasted pork, mushrooms and some vegetables. The tofu's gravy is nice and goes well with plain rice. Too bad the roasted pork's skin is soft because immersed in the gravy. If it is still crispy, then it would be better..but I guess all claypot tofu's roasted pork's skin are soft due to the gravy...

Salted Egg Mantis Prawn (RM 15)

At RM 15, the portion given is huge. More than enough to feed 3-4 people. Mum and I enjoyed the dish very much because lots of salted egg yolk were used in coating the mantis prawn; making the prawns very flavorful. The prawns were also deep fried into a very crispy texture....yummy yummy......

Thai Dinner Smile Jul 21, 2012   (Related Review)

How to warm yourself on a cold night? The answer is head on to Flying Chillies for their Special Fire Pot Tom Yum. I am sure this will kill your chilly feeling. Flying Chillies' Special Fire Pot Tom Yum (RM 25.90)

The Fire Pot is one of the restaurant's recommended dish. My friends and I chose the seafood version; which contains prawns, calamari and fish fillets. The Ton Yum is served in a pot on top of a burning fire. The sourness and spiciness is just right for my liking; but it was too spicy for one of my friend. The taste is really appetizing which goes very well with plain rice. Warm and satisfying for my tummy.....yummy yummy...........

Other than the fire pot, we also ordered the baby kailan vegetable.......They call this Baby Kailan with salted Fish but I call it "Choi Tam" instead because it is not kai lan(RM 16)

Hmm....a bit pricey for a plate of ordinary stir fried vege
