In my past 2 visits, I have given very low rating for the food I had. This third visit of mine, I have decided to order Stewed Pork Hakka Noodle, RM7.80 per bowl which served with half fragrant egg, minced pork meat and stewed pork.

The portion was good for 1 person. When the food served to us, I was telling myself, hope this will not be another disappointment to me. The stewed pork came with lean and fat meat which made one easy to eat and not tough in texture. The tasty pork was marinated very well that really made my appetite. Furthermore, the springy noodle that really made me finished all without failing to praise the good food.

Returned with friends for other items. Service was fast and floor staff are polite as well.

We had seaweed soup Hakka noodle served with sweet corn, pork balls and fish cake, cost RM7.90/bowl. The bowl of seaweed soup was certainly sweet in taste. The Hakka noodle was springy. The portion of the noodle was good for 1 person. There were at least 4 tasty pork balls and the fish cake was equally as good in taste. A filling bowl of noodles and worth every cent.

Oriental Pearl is strategically located in a Golf & Country Resort which provides ample of parking space. In terms of road traffic, it is good as it is not located in the centre of the city nor far away from the city.

One of the dishes we had for lunch was Fried Tiger Prawns with Spicy Salt. Served big tiger prawns and fresh too. I like the way it was prepared, something different than the usual steamed prawns. It was not salty nor spicy and the meat was fresh and sweet. tonguesmile

Bak Kut Teh  Smile Aug 02, 2012   (Related Review)

Big Mouth Bak Kut Teh (大口仔 肉骨茶) is certainly a non-halal cuisine and it is also one of the Malaysia's famous local delicacies. Other than the Bak Kut Teh, Big Mouth is also offering steamed fish which is also a signature dish.

Here is a brief introduction of Big Mouth Bak Kut Teh. According to Malaysiabest's article, "Mr. Leong Kai Kee famously known as the ‘Uncle Big Mouth’ who step into food industry as chef since the age of 15 years old, is the founder of “Big Mouth Bak Kut Teh” which established in the year 1966 at his age of 30 years old"

We had Steamed Fish head with ginger, big portion cost RM29.00, portion was nice for 4 pax. The fish was served very fresh and the steamed fish's temperature was managed well. It did not spoil or overcooked the fish. As the results of that, the fish meat was sweet and smooth in texture.

A plate of Shishamo aka grilled pregnant fish, cost RM14.00 for 3 pieces.

When it was served to us, we saw 3 pieces pathetic shishamo lying on the plate which was not really appealing to us. However, since it was a grilled item, we better not having the shishamo waiting for us. First bite, oh no! the grilled little slim fish was so tasty. I controlled myself from eating too fast for missing the superb taste of the fish, fresh fish and good grilling skill. My BF had the whole fish into his stomach including the fish head. They controlled the salt to the minimal so that we could taste better of the fish meat. We also ignored the lime for killing the taste of the fish. Well done!smiletongue
