Roti Kosong Cry Aug 04, 2013
Categories : Indian | Food court | Mixed rice

Roti Kosong. The roti kosong from this stall does not looked good as half of it was plain white color, another part was only a little bit brown. The outlook totally turn off my appetite. I dipped the roti canai with the dhal and sambal to cover up the plainness of this roti canai. Although the price was cheap, but I still feel that this roti canai was not up to standard.

Salted Fish Pork Belly Claypot ("ham yue fa lam bou"). That day, I was feeling some urge to eat heavy flavoured food, so I ordered this salted fish pork belly claypot. The ingredients were onions, dried chili, pork belly slices and some spring onions. I know I ordered salted fish, but the taste was extremely salty, same as other dishes. It would be good if they tone down the saltiness.

Teow Chew steamed fish Cry Aug 04, 2013

Teow Chew steamed fish. My mother was craving for teow chew steamed fish, so we ordered it. The ingredients were beancurd, salted vegetables, tomato, ginger slices and asam. Once I took a sip of the soup, it was extremely salty, not the normal saltiness of teow chew steamed fish. The fish was fresh and the ingredients were good, but the teow chew broth was out of standard.

Deep fried mantao Cry Jul 20, 2013   (Related Review)

Deep fried mantao. Since we ordered the spicy and sour crab that has broth in it, we also ordered this deep fried mantao for dipping purposes. The outlook of the mantao does not looked impressive. The skin was brown but not golden brown and it has a layer of oiliness to it. Even though it was deep fried, it was not crispy, a bit soggy I would say. The inner part of it was not too soft.

Asam Laksa Cry Jul 08, 2013   (Related Review)

Asam Laksa. We went to De Pastry for lunch as their food variety is a lot and enough to satisfy a few people preferences. The asam laksa consisted onions, carrots, smashed fish with laksa noodles. When it was served, there was not strong asam laksa aroma. Indeed, the broth was diluted and bland. The weirdest ingredient was the carrots, which is not supposed to be in asam laksa.
