I find that the food at A Lai is quite decent but their menu is simply like any regular Japanese Restaurant would have. Perhaps they should create a signature dish or something which could differs them.The sashimi and sushi selection was impressive as well, as the other cooked items such as teppanyaki, and mixed bento sets.Their version of California maki where the fish roe is place on the top of the sushi instead being wrapped around the rice layer. Which allow you to bite through the whole chunk of fish roe resulting a greater popping effect from the roe in your mouth

The menu at A Lai I was impressive and it is covering with various specialties not commonly available in other run-of-the-mill Japanese eateries.One of their main selling point is Teppanyaki, or grilled meats and seafood on iron plates. The Seafood teppanyaki platter consists of scallops, prawns, salmon, squids, and vegetables.The mixed tempura appeared a little lackluster, and amidst the yellowish lighting.The Japanese cold noodles, Hiyashi Chuka Ramen came in a far from dainty portion and with lots of fritters that extra crunch on top, the combination of cold noodles and assorted vegetables in tare sauce is a refreshing and light dish, perfect to eat on hot days.The men u bookA set of fried veggies and prawns

This shop is located on the ground floor of Aeon Station 18. The environment is simple and the staffs are friendly. They serves with good manners and smiles. The pancakes simply delicious and serves right after out from the kitchen. It's crispy and hot. Besides Pancakes, they also selling "Best Taco in Town" which the set cost around RM 12.29 with a cup of lemon tea. The taco is crispy with the tasty fillings.Burgers are also in the menu which a set cost around RM 14.19.

This Japanese Restaurant located at busiest commercial area Ipoh, Greentown. The price of this restaurant consider high in Ipoh but I'll like to say it's worth the price. The sets meal (as being shown below) include miso soup,egg , salad,rice, dessert and etc. There is another branch behind Justco Ipoh. The environment is cozy and comfortable with Japanese feel and the staffs are friendly.
