Lamb Chop with CaoCao Smile Jul 21, 2012

Lamb chop can only be that goodsmile
With CaoCao selling lamb chop that no where can you get these tender lamb. I have to say that they are absolutely wonderful and when you first arrived at the place, the smell of BBQ with the aroma of grilled lamb and the smokey smell of charcoal comes this little tasty dish

When I ordered the lamb chop (obviously, for more understanding on how the lamb chop looks like, refer to the review before me, it really looks like that!!! AWESOME isn't it?) it came with a watery mint sauce and pieces of lamb-cut.
The best thing about the whole lamb chop is that it's texture is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Really wonderful. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Categories : Taiwanese | Stall / Warung | Desserts

FINALLY!!!! the wait is over....after trying different taiwanese desserts house with green tea ice, SNOWFLAKE has released their new flavour!!!
Yes, you've guessed it!!! it's GREENTEA ice!!!
Without any hesitation me and my friend head straight to the nearest snowflake to taste this newly launched ice!! Surely, me and my friend have waited years for snowflakes to come out with a greentea ice!!!
LOOKS GOOD

LOOKS GOOD

Here's the set!!! it's RM7.90...more expensive then the usual setshocked

We took the plunge and found that the ice was very flavour-ful!! the rich taste of green tea and the smoothness of the ice was really a nice experience. However, I didn't quite like the new sesame taro balls...It was rather too SESAME for me...I LOVE THE RED BEANS though!lol it was like red bean soup but better texture of the red bean!!!

It was a good dish but for me to try again, I might consider that it's 1 dollar more than their Bestsellers.

Spending per head: Approximately RM10(其他)

Sweetness in my heart Smile Jan 31, 2012

Wahahaha....This is another one of my favourite dessert shop around Kuchai Lama..
This shop don't really have much advertising but when you see it's name, you sure know that you're in for a SWEEET experience. =)
SWEET HUT, the name of this shop is so sweet that it makes you wanna go in and try...
this is a Hong Kong style dessert shop, unlike taiwanese style where they have taro balls and all..this one is more tasteful and savoury.

This shop has a very simple design, a bit dimmed but well-suited for the occasion of enjoying desserts and very cold setting with air-condition blasting away. shocked

Sweet hut is so far the best dessert shop that I've tried. The best dessert that I've tried and always come back for the same one is this one down below:
AWESOME mango!!!

AWESOME mango!!!

Mango juice with pomelo and mango ice cream, topped with coconut jelly and sago.
Really, it has lots of stuff in it that this little bowl of it can't fill much. Personally, I felt that the serving size could be bigger cuz for the price I pay, it's rather small...it's RM8.90 for a bowl like this and their desserts range from about RM7-RM15, depending on what you order, of course. Though the pricing may be a bit pricey, there are still tonnes of people going in there to eat.

Getting back to my wonderful mango dessert here ...It may look simple and plain on first sight. But don't judge a book by it's cover. When you take a sip of the juice, the taste of tangy mango flavour bursts into your mouth along with a slight hint of sourness, though the taste may vary from time to time due to the fact that they use real mangoes to get to juice out of it. Besides that, the mango ice cream in the center is really really magnificent!!! hardly can you find this kind of mango ice cream anywhere, it's like as if they made it themselves, though I doubt that. The mango ice cream is very creamy and has a strong taste of mango, not the artificial type of taste but very similar to the mango juice which makes it complimenting to each component of the dessert. As you dig down into the bowl, heart-shaped coconut jelly are hiding down at the bottom. Bite on these jelly and the taste of refreshing coconut flavour just comes naturally. The jelly are not too soft nor too hard to bite on, very tender like gelatin.

Thus, for this place I highly recommend their mango related desserts as to me, they use the best quality of mangoes to make their desserts.

Taiwanese dessert that shook KL Smile Jan 30, 2012

RAWR...!!!!!
It's attack of the Taiwanese food!!!!! mad
hehe^^ ever since I've been to college, which was about 2 years ago... One of the best and most consistent taiwanese dessert was snowflakes.
No doubt about it when you go to their stall, the queue would clearly tell you how good are their desserts...
As a fellow dessert lover, this is by far the top best dessert from my personal experience, with a good balance of taste and price, this is the BEST!!tongue
Their stall always have the same look, the same furniture and the same UFO (an alarm system to let you know that your dessert is ready). And it's always FULL of people!!! maybe not always...but during off-working hours, be ready to queue for a while.
Spacing may look like insufficient when you get there, but don't worry, by the time you reach your counter and order, there will be seats for you. =)
Nice ambience with nice music and not to mention about people chatting.

First timers would bedazzled by the amount of variety that they have, ranging from shaved ice to taufu fa to taiwanese bubble milk tea. They have different types of shaved ice, grass jelly ice and soya ice. But my personal favourite is their best seller, which is grass jelly ice with grass jelly topped with taro-balls (it's my favourite add-on!!!) hehe^^ it's very simple but the taste is awesome!! the grass-jelly ice may look pale but it's taste is full and light. Very refreshing indeed.

Another dessert that can try is their sea-amber jelly topped with pearls. This dessert is another very simple yet refreshing ice when you don't quite like the taste of soya or grass jelly ice.

Recommended Dish(es):  bestseller and shaved ice

Spending per head: Approximately RM7(其他)

the healthier choice OK Jan 25, 2012

Ahhh, time for some drink reviews. smile
This stall sells its name as a soy bean stall. Soy bean = healthy choice
Am I right I suppose nowadays, people are getting more health conscious and with demand there is a supply.
So I've been to this shop twice and tried different smoothies. I've tried their mango soy smoothies which they used real mango pieces and soy milk to blend with ice. The end-product, a very refreshing ice-blended smoothy that is healthy and delicious. smile Truly, when you compare it with the other ice blended bubble milk tea outside in the market, you don't know what they are putting in and most of the time, they will have artificial flavouring in it.
I've also tried their honeydew soy bean smoothy. lol Oh, and if you think it is gonna be weird. Wait till you try theirs, they blend chucks of honeydew fruit with soy milk and ice. The final product, a very outstanding drink that sure give you an amusement. smile The taste of honeydew can be tasted with a tinge of soy milk as you enjoy this interesting combination.
