good fresh seafood... Smile Aug 08, 2014

This is a great place for seafood lovers. They have an extensive selection which you can see for yourselves in tanks as you walk in. All fresh. Sadly the prices isn't for everyone. Rather on the high side. You can find exotic seafood like geoduck, Alaskan spider crab, Australian snow crab, abalone & lobsters.
Environment wise it is a huge place with tables all over. Gets crowded but turnover is pretty fast. Don't expect fine dining but it is clean & safe.
What draws people back is the freshness, quality & consistency of food. You can have the seafood in various styles like salted egg, BBQ, steamed, baked, fried & even sashimi. All tasting great.
Would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Either for a date, group outing or even business meal.

overpriced and rude... Cry Aug 08, 2014

The food is decent however inconsistent. On top of that the prices are high and they have bad service. The place is also rather stuffy even though air conditioned.
They seem to have biased service which I just can't understand why. Would definitely not recommend. Head over down the road to PJ Hills. Much better in all aspects.

average briyani... OK Aug 08, 2014

Used to hear that Tetra has the best briyani around. Sadly when I finally tried the place the briyani is just so so. Maybe their quality has dropped over the years. Average flavour, decent raita, the chicken or mutton choice is just so so as is the dalcha.
They do have a decent selection of vegetarian dishes which were fresh and tasty. Examples being squash, spinach, potatoes & even tauhu. Can't speak much of the other dishes as we didn't try them.
Environment wise its a typical Indian restaurant layout. Reasonably clean with average service. Think there are many other better choices nearby.

decent briyani... OK Aug 08, 2014

This place has a lot of hype through Facebook and Twitter. However overall I would give it just an average rating. They serve decent briyani and banana leaf rice. Wished there was more meat though in the briyani. Price wise on par with most places serving similar dishes. They do serve a mean lassi. Rich and creamy.
Service was good and friendly. Environment clean and inviting. Worth a visit.

best steaks in KL... Smile Aug 08, 2014

Always wanted to try this place and finally did with Amex's 50% off promotion. Started off with their fresh oysters and escargots. No complaints there except perhaps more seasoning on the escargots. The highlight obviously being the steak. The aged tenderloin came just as ordered with decent sides. The wine sauce suited the steak well however I preferred their seasoned sea salts more. Goes very well with the yummy steak. Capped the night with their free scoop of home made ice cream which was delicious.
Service is a bit of a let down considering it is meant to be a upmarket dining sort of place. Took awhile to get the waiter's attention. They are friendly however should be more prompt and alert.
Environment is rather noisy being a small place and it is located next to their whiskey bar. However it suits a steak house so no complaints. Don't expect a nice quiet romantic outing here.
Price is rather on the high side. Yes quality is there but based on portion size I think it should be slightly lower. If not for the 50% off promotion I wouldn't have stepped in. Would love to come back but will wait for another promotion.
