Rocku means rock and You by accompany you with a rock musical ambient while having your dinner. There were also a live band from Monday to Sunday . Besides that , there are also Rocku Jazz Night every Wednesday and Rocku Magic Night every Friday till midnight to jazzed you up and amazed you mysteriosly with magic that will linger in your memory. Besides the rock ambient, their price for the buffet is reasonable and affordable.
Its really worth for money.
Pork
Chicken Thigh
Lamb shoulder
Seafood platter
We are served with pork platter , beef platter , seafood platter , chicken thigh and lamb shoulder. These platters were mostly imported freshly except pork and some seafood that are available locally. The three special sauces; ponzu, spicy miso and chilli sauce which goes well with the platters when charcoal grilled or BBQ to spice up of tasting buds.
Recommended dish ... must try ...
Enoki with butter, something special that you must try it. Its really delicious especially after added in the special sauce.
Scallop, Mussel
Rocku Japanese Charcoal Grill ..... its different from the BBQ that we had. Although we sat right in front of the burning charcoal but we didn't feel the heat or smoke. According to the manager, there is ventilation hole that sucked the smoke and heat out to the chimney. You will feel relax while enjoying your meal.
We can add in kimchi, corn and vegetables together to grill.
Japanese Fried rice, Karaage chicken, Udon, Japanese curry
While waiting for our grilled food to be ready they are also ready food like Japanese fried rice , fried udon , karaage chicken and vegetables served at the buffet bar. The Karaage chicken also blend well with your meal.
We are given a chance to try out the sake which served in cold and hot . We choose cold sake, Sparkling sake , Kirei Umeshu with collagen (pink bottle with 7% alcohol) and Yamadanishiki Special Junmai (blue bottle with 14% alcohol) . I like the Kirei Umeshu with collagen and this sake indeed is for lady. It taste sweet like apple cider.
The finale was interesting. We were served with "the last polka ice cream" for dessert. The last polka ice cream is actually a home made ice cream which comes in 3 flavors; coconut, deep dark chocolate and mango. I like the deep dark chocolate although its taste bitter while my friends like the coconut.
Our appetite were fully satiated and we will definitely visit Rocku again.
Once again, I would like to thanks Open Rice for the invitation and Rocku's manager , Mr Kenny for the warm hospitality extended to us.
