Rojak Petis Muar Smile Jan 11, 2016

Categories : Malaysian variety | Noodles

My friend and I always do food-hunting when we're free. It is fun, stuffy and we got to discover new places  flower  I myself is not good at trying new things, moreover in terms of food. When I travel, I normally will choose to order things that I knew or familiar rather than trying new things. Pretty bored haa?

Anyway, I was aware that Muar is somehow famous with several types of food, here the first one : Rojak !!! I'm sure all malaysian are well aware on what rojak is so I guess there's no need for me to introduce its biography.
Oh my Dior!

Voila! Look at this people heart This dish is good enough for 2 or even 3 (if you happen not to eat heavily)

Getting the chance to enjoy this with sea breeze, BEST-FEELING-EVER !
You can tour around the tanjung once you finished eating though. There's playground and pathway. This place is totally great for family catch-up!

Bestfriend of the month : Pizza ! Smile Jan 05, 2016

I'm not really a big fan of pizza, but sometimes when I crave for it, I craved hard. Ya know, I could go long lists of Pizza Hut's menus (which I choose not too because it's 11.32pm right now and I'll go broke if I ordered pizza delivery cry) I happened to once dine in in a Pizza Hut at Tesco Ampang. Quite an experience for my first and unfamiliar time there. tongue

The most hardest thing to decide during mall visit is definitely makan (eating) place! (Who's with me hands up!) My friend and I could spent hoursss just to decide (no matter the options are too many or too little #FirstWorldProblem) Obviously, my friend and I took so much time just to decide to have our late lunch in Pizza Hut, and that is because of promotions made by Pizza Hut during that season! Just because. Pizza Hut can really be such a great bestfriend when it comes to promotion season don't you think so?
Voila, meals for two!

PHAT (pretty hot and tempting right? kiss)

We had so much fun talking and keeping the food for just the both of us, we don't even realized we had spent too much time in the food outlet until we felt tired of talking heart

The foods definitely tasted great and the service was okayyyy. The waiting time was rationally appropriate and the waiters are all friendly. Thanksss! The ambiance is good for families and gathering too (and of course, lots of talking!)

Despite the mushrooming of urban and themed cafes around Melaka, it still cannot beat the legendary and cheapest chops in town (Chicken/Lamb Chop). With only charging RM8 for chicken chop and RM9 for lamb chop, I personally claimed this stall as the best street vendor that offers chicken chop in town!

Besides the huge and satisfying portion of the meat, it also come with a superly great gravy which is mushroom soup and blackpepper (my favourite would be blackpepper! you guys should try it)

This stall is more to a food court in an alley, which consist of numerous numbers of stall inside. Besides this western stall, there's malay cuisine stall, fresh juice and burger stall. Quite an option for a decent foodcourt.

Please bear in  mind that this foodcourt is located in the middle of a busy road and besides Bayview Hotel, which unfortunately offer less parking spaces. But don't worry, there's residential area just behind the hotel where you can simply drive in and park (no blocking residents needs please) and go to the foodcourt via back area.

This foodcourt starts operate from 6pm to roughly midnight. For a good nightlife spot, here is on in Melaka!

Here's for early booking or to check whether it is open or not!

The most famous, the starter of all coconut shake in Malaysia. Once featured in newspapers, food discovery shows and visited by many tourist especially the Taiwan Chinese and Singaporean. What make it so special?

I grow up in Klebang, I witness this operation growth from just one moving stall to a compound of dine in area in the inner side of the street. It has grown up to such big and establish food stall now.

Not only offering coconut shake, it has plain coconut water, sugar cane juice, some Malay traditional snacks, nasi lemak and additional fried chicken. It really awaken people's taste during a hot day (I was mouth-watering when typing this).

The only disturbing things here is the parking space, waiting turns to be seated, and the queues which is totally crazy! Just bear in mind, this place is too well known. It doesn't kill to try and experience the craziness in getting a cup of it.

Selling at RM1.80 for the regular coconut shake and RM2.40 for the special (which there's an add up of a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of it), it definitely a total crave for the first timer that might invite them for numerous number of tries after that.

That explains why this area is too crowded that it sometimes affects the main road and there's even RELA that helps to control the traffic at the junction!

Have you ever come across this feeling of where it is easier to decide for dinner at the road side stalls instead of lunch at the same stated kind of stall/restaurant? I have it, seriously.

We typically choose to dine in at mall's food court during the days that we find it so hard to suggest off-mall kind of lunch place. Here's one of a good suggestion for lunch place, which located in Tengkera.

Located just beside the main Tengkera road, just next to Methodist Girl School, this stall best attracts tourists, locals and school students. Offering at low prices that a student can afford, it explains why this stall is always full.

The best and significant meal here is obviously the Mee Sup, which comes in three choices : noodles, rice vermicelli and kuey teow. The dressing inside includes shred chicken and chillies.

Other food available here is the traditional hand made spring roll which if you consume two of them, you will be stuffed for half day because of its size.  mad

This stall is open everyday EXCEPT Thursday from 1.00pm to 7.00pm.
It ai'nt hard to find, trust me!
