Tea time Smile Mar 31, 2016

My aunt came over to my university to have tea with me and my cousins. She wanted to try out the messed up family, thus we headed over to Garage 51 for tea. The cafe was still filled with people, majority of them were students even though it was 4 p.m. We ordered The Son and The Cousin from the messed up family series. Both cost RM18.90 each I think think it was too pricey. The Son was actually a milkshake with Nutella with hints of hazelnut awesomeness while the The Cousin was a milkshake with salted caramel with brownies. Both were very pleasant to the eyes but taste wise, not that great. The Son was topped with pretzel biscuit, caramel popcorn, marshmallow and drizzles of chocolate sauce. The popcorn were not crunchy at all and in fact they were quite soft. As for the cousin, the brownies were super hard and we felt like we were eating rocks. The different elements that make up the ‘work of art’ doesn’t taste as great as we expected but it was okay as a whole.
Apart from that, we had the chocolate ganache cake and lemon cheesecake. Both cakes tasted very good! As for the mocha and flat white which my aunt and cousin ordered, the mocha was of really good taste while the flat white was just too bitter for my aunt’s liking. The mocha cost RM12.50 while the flat white cost RM10.

Friendship Restaurant Smile Mar 30, 2016

It was the first week of classes and finally it was our long awaited lunch break after 2 hours of lectures. We decided to have lunch at Friendship Restaurant since it has been so long since we last had lunch there. I ordered pan mee dry and my friend ordered butter chicken rice.
The butter chicken rice was really good I would always order that when I have lunch here. For RM7, you’ll get a few pieces of chicken with thick and creamy butter chicken served with white rice. I wished there was more chicken because sometimes the portion will be very small. However, today I felt like having some pan mee so I ordered the pan mee instead. The noodles were chewy but the flavour wasn’t there for me. I wished it would have more sauce and more flavourful. One plate cost RM5.50 and I think it is okay for pan mee.

Green Tea Milk Tea OK Mar 29, 2016

Went to watch movie and I decided to take away Gong Cha so that I can sneak my drinks into the cinema. I ordered their green tea milk tea in large. And it was RM7.50. I personally think the drink was just okay, the green tea flavour wasn’t popping and it was quite bland. Initially we wanted our sugar level to be normal but the staff told us that our drink would be too sweet, so we went with 50% sugar level. Honestly even with the 50% sugar level, our green tea milk tea has just the right amount of sweetness but yet the green tea flavour was not appealing enough. Gongcha is actually cheaper than Chatime by RM0.40!

Frozen on a hot day! Smile Mar 28, 2016

The weather was scorching hot and I went to Sunway Pyramid during my break to grab a cold drink. Since I was in a tight budget and I didn’t want to splurge on drinks like Chatime or Gong Cha, I decided to try out McDonald’s Fanta Frozen in grape flavour! The best part was, it was only RM1!!!! How cheap is that! Their original price was RM2.95 but there were having some promotion thus it only costed RM1.
I think the drink was quite okay, the flavour of the Fanta Grape was quite strong and it was really a thirst quenching drink! Reminds me of slurpee!! This Frozen drinks come in Coke Flavour too and a combination of coke and and fanta grape! Make sure you go try out the rest because I know I will.

Home of Original Sarawak Noodles Smile Mar 28, 2016

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles

My dad decided to have pan mee for lunch at our usual place, which is the Face to face noodle house. Since I don’t feel like eating pan mee, I decided to try out their traditional Sarawak noodles which apparently is more famous than their chilli pan mee.
I had the traditional Sarawak noodles which cost around RM7 and it tasted quite good!! I love how chewy and smooth the noodles were and I like how flavourful the pork was. My dad on the other hand had the Loh Pan Mee which was around RM6.50. He said it tasted really delicious as the gravy wasn’t very thick and had the right consistency. I ordered their passion fruit tea as well which was RM4.50. It wasn’t as sweet as I like and I wouldn’t order it again. But overall the noodles tasted good!
