Soft serve with gourmet popcorn!  Smile Mar 25, 2016

My friend and I decided to go grab some ice cream after classes due to the super hot weather!! Since we were both craving for some soft serve ice cream, we decided to head to MilkCow to try out their premium organic soft serve ice cream. It was our first time here and we didn’t know what to order thus we went for the Milky Pop since both of us love popcorn. Milky Pop is basically soft serve ice cream with gourmet popcorn drizzled with salted caramel syrup!
It looked really good when the staff handed over our ice cream to us. The vanila ice cream was okay, and I think the salted caramel really enhance the flavour of the ice cream. The popcorn itself was very tasty too and the popcorn added some texture to the soft smooth ice cream. One cup cost RM11.50 and I thought it was quite pricey but it was worth a try!

Cakes! OK Mar 25, 2016

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Café | Pizza/Pasta | Steaks / Chops | Halal

I was feeling down and my boyfriend decided to cheer me up by buying a slice of cake for me. He bought me a slice of banana and walnut cake which doesn’t look appetising to me on the first look of that cake. When I asked him about the price, he told me that slice costed RM 10.50. I was really shocked when I heard the price!!
After trying the cake, I felt that there wasn’t anything special about that cake, I can say it tasted good, the cake was fluffy yet not crumby. However, I wouldn’t pay RM10.50 for something like that. Maybe the other cakes will be more worth the money and I can only find out when I visit there myself next time.

Kim Gary Smile Mar 25, 2016

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Seafood | Noodles

My boyfriend woke up late and we decided to have a late lunch at Kim Gary. Kim Gary has always been his favourite dining place because they offer a variety of food choices for him. However, he would eventually order the same dish, which is the fried egg and chicken in tomato sauce with rice. I’ve personally tried that dish before and I think it tasted not bad. The chicken was tender and the tomato sauce wasn’t dilute at all, it was quite concentrated and very flavourful. The dish cost RM11.80 and I think the price was quite reasonable.
As for drinks, he always never fail to order the ying yong in Hong Kong Style. Ying Yong means a mixture of 3 parts of coffee and 7 parts of milk tea. I think the drink tasted really good and quite addictive as well! Definitely a place I would come again!

Fish Waffle Ice Cream OK Mar 25, 2016
Categories : Korean | Café | Ice Cream / Froyo / Gelato | Desserts

Took the opportunity to finally catch up with some of my friends before classes commence next week! We decided to catch up over dinner at SS15. Since it has been awhile since we ate chilli pan mee, we decided to have dinner there! After dinner, the 3 of us agreed to have some ice cream as our tongues were burning. We decided to walk a few steps to try out Aboong!
The name itself was hilarious and we laughed quite a lot at the name. Surprisingly the shop was packed with people queuing up for their signature yogurt ice cream on top of a fish shaped waffle on a thursday day night?!
We decided to share one just to try the taste of the ice cream. We had the large one since we are sharing and chose the special flavour ice cream which was milk cheese ice cream which required us to add on extra RM 2! In total, the large fish waffle ice cream costed us RM14.
The waffle itself was really crispy and tasty, especially when the waffle goes very well with the Nutella filling! However, the Nutella filling was quite little and the cheese ice cream was a let down. It was a weird combination having cheese in our ice cream thus I did not enjoy the ice cream part. We should have went for the original yogurt flavour. I think it was really pricey for such a small waffle ice cream and I wouldn’t come here again.

Penang Chendol!  Smile Mar 24, 2016

Categories : Malaysian variety | Noodles | Halal | Desserts

I’ve been craving for some chendul ever since I came back from my Penang trip last weekend. My 3 days 2 night trip was amazing but the downside was that I still couldn't get over the food there. Thus, I decided to relieve back my Penang memories by having some chendul and ice kacang with my dad at Penang Road Famous Teochew Cendol which was just a 10 minutes car ride away from my house.
We ordered a bowl of teochew chendul and another bowl of ice kacang original. Both costed RM 5.90. Compared to Penang, the Penang one was way cheaper but sadly I’m not in Penang. However, the taste was 95% similar to the one in Penang! Both the cendol and ice kacang was so thirst quenching and both had lots of ingredients which I loved! Definitely a place to go when you miss Penang food!
