Sushi! Smile Mar 24, 2016

I was craving for sushi the other day and my boyfriend decided to bring me out for some sushi! We went to Sushi King in Subang Parade to have lunch before watching Zootopia. Previously I seldom go to Sushi King because I once had a bad experience where they serve food that were not fresh. However, this meal in Sushi King changed my mind completely.
The sushi here have really improved drastically! The food here are fresh and simply delicious! I like having sushi from the conveyor belt, because I like the feeling of anticipating which sushi will arrive next. I ordered numerous sushi just for me and my boyfriend because who we just love sushi!! We had California temaki, soft shell crab and other sushi like unagi, salmon and crab stick.
Sushi on the different colour plates represent different pricing. The ones on blue means they cost RM2.12, beige means RM3.18, pink is RM4.24, red is RM5.30, purple is RM6.36 and black is RM7.42. Most of the sushi on the conveyor belt are on red and purple plates. Sushi King is definitely one of my favourite casual sushi place!

Overpriced yet delicious food Smile Mar 24, 2016

It was the holidays and I finally got the chance to meet up with my friends who came back from UK for their summer break. We decided to catch up over some good food and one of my friends suggested Jibby and Co. Since none of us have been there before, we decided to give it a try.
The cafe has 2 floors and the interior was really fancy and well decorated!! It was truly a great hangout place for friends to catch up with each others’ lives. I ordered the chicken with shimeji and portobello mushroom carbonara pasta as I felt like eating some pasta. My dish was RM 27 and to me I thought it was okay. The portion was really huge and I could only manage to finish ⅔ of it. The carbonara sauce was really thick and creamy and it filled up my stomach so quickly that I couldn’t take in any more food! I recommend you guys to share if you want to order the carbonara pasta.
My friend on the other hand ordered the three layer lasagna which consisted of beef, mushrooms, roma tomatoes and basil sauce. She could barely finish ⅓ of the dish because it was really filling!! The dish costed her RM32 and I thought that it was such a waste paying so much for the food yet unable to finish it. Another friend of mine ordered the tiger prawns and blue swimmer crab pasta with chives, Napoli sauce and a touch of cream. Thankfully my friend could finish her dish and she commented that the flavours were spot on! Her dish was RM35.
In my opinion, Jibby and Co served really huge portion food and the food can be really pricey. However the dishes tasted good and flavours were all there.

My best friend, Michelle called me up for lunch and so we went on a food hunting trip again! We were pretty adventurous when it comes to searching for good food, and this time we found this hidden gem called Hide and Seek cafe at Equine Park! They served really affordable good food and for a cafe, it is really rare to see the pricing of the food to be less than RM10!!
Michelle and I ordered their bacon mushroom aglio olio pasta which was only RM9.90 for such a decent cafe!!! And the best part was, our meal comes with ice lemon tea as it was a set lunch. Unbelievable!! I don’t think I can find any other cafe that serves such economical good food!
Our bacon mushroom aglio olio pasta was delicious! Not only it was cheap, the dish was flavourful and the portion was pretty generous. This cafe is one of my favourite places to go for lunch!

It was a lazy morning and my family and I plan to have noodles for brunch. My aunt told us that this restaurant serves quite delicious curry noodles and fish ball noodles. Thus, we decided to head there to try it out.
My mum and dad ordered their best selling curry laksa which consisted of chicken curry, noodles of your choice, tofu puff, bean sprouts, long beans and potatoes. I heard that their curry laksa was selling like hot cakes thus people are willing to go there early just to eat the curry noodles. It was RM8.50 per bowl, a bit more pricier than the curry noodles you get from hawker stalls, but the portion was really huge and it tasted really good according to my parents.
Me on the other hand ordered their fish ball noodles because I wasn’t in the mood for curry on that morning. My bowl of noodles was RM6.80 and I think it was worth every penny! The soup was very clear and had just the right amount of sweetness, the hor fun really absorbs all the goodness of the soup! The fish balls were chewy and fresh, so I would definitely come here again!

If you’re on the lookout for affordable and sumptuous Western food, Logenhaus Roast and Grill is the best of both worlds! Whenever my family and I wants to have some decent affordable Western food, Logenhaus Roast and Grill will always pop out first from our heads.
I always ordered my Salmon Au Natural served with potato salad because I love how simple yet delicious the dish is. The potato salad there was really good as it was seasoned well and very appetizing. The salmon was fresh and the taste was subtle and I don’t like my salmon dish to be over complicated. My parents on the other hand loved the sizzling lamb with Logenhaus chef sauce served with pan fried potatoes. The pan fried potatoes were absolutely delicious and very flavourful!! My sister enjoyed the roasted half chicken with potato salad because who doesn’t like roasted chicken?! For my Salmon Au Natural it costed RM 25.99 before tax and I think that it was quite reasonable because the dish was sumptuous! For the lamb it was RM 26.99 and the roast chicken was RM 19.99 before tax.

The portions for our dishes were just right and it we always have pleasant meal there.
