Fish Head Mee Sua Cry Jan 12, 2012
Categories : Malaysian variety | Restaurant | Nasi Lemak

I once visited 'Otak-otak place' restaurant and try their fish head mee sua. I am quite disappointed with the dish. The soup is nice, but the fish head got no meat. Only bone given to me. huffy Hence I still feel hungry after the meal and I end up brought other snacks to eat at Tropicana City Mall.

But my friend tried the otak-otak nasi lemak before. They said it is nice. Hm... Maybe I will consider to try that dish. But I will never try the fish head mee sua again.

Oily Tom Yam Bihun Soup Cry Jan 11, 2012

Categories : Malaysian variety | Café | Noodles | Halal | Nasi Lemak

Old Town is one of my preferred coffee shop for dinner. Normally I will order Ipoh Noodles at Old Town. Suddenly I thought of try something new at Old Town. So I ordered Tom Yam Noodles. Hm... but I got shocked with the total amount of oil that I can scoop out from the soup.

After spend 5 minutes scoop out the oil, then only I started to enjoy my Tom Yam Soup. Despite the oil, the noodles is nice. I am not sure about others, but as for me. I really can not stand the total oil. I think this is why I don't enjoy oil food. I hope other branch of Old Town do not produce such oily Tom Yum Noodles.

Anyway, the next time I visit Old Town, I will definitely stick my previous preferred dish; the Ipoh Noodles.

My boyfriend once got an opportunity to taste some glutinous rice dumpling of West Lake Garden. He shared with my on his experiences. The next day, we went to buy the steamed vegetarian glutinous rice dumpling for his parents.

Normally rice dumpling is sweet and oily. Hence does not really suitable for senior citizen or those with high cholesterol or diabetic problem. My boyfriends parents have health problem. Hence they are not allow to eat those normal rice dumpling that sold at stall.

Really thank to West Lake Garden for selling steamed vegetarian glutinous rice dumpling. The taste of the rice dumpling is so nice and yet suitable for senior citizen.
Both his parents really enjoy this healthy rice dumpling as they do not use the pork oil or process sugar. Anyway you have to pay for the price. It cost us around RM20 for one dumpling.

After having my dinner at Wangsa Walk Mall. Suddenly I craved for cheese cake. I stopped by at the Secret Recipe Shop at ordered Hazel Nut Cheese Cake.

Wow... the taste is so good until I crave for the cheese cake now. One bite of the Hazel Cheese Cake, you can feel like a mouse enjoying the cheese. The mixture of the hazel nut taste and cheese are perfect.

Anyway do not eat too much of cheese cake if you do not wish to put on weight. This Hazel Cheese Cake may not be the best in the world, but it is just nice for me. Despite the taste, most important it cost me less than RM10 as a dessert.

1st experience with ZenQ Dessert  OK Jan 10, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Taiwanese | Café | Ice Cream / Froyo / Gelato

I saw ZenQ Dessert branch during my vacation trip in Taiwan before. But never had a chance to try that time. During one of the friends movie gathering, my friends invite us to try the dessert at ZenQ as our movie will only start at 9pm.

She treat us with her free vouchers. I ordered their ZenQ signature dish which cost RM4.50. It is a mixture of few ingredients as shown in the pictures. I can said the taste is ok. Maybe 'tong shui' dessert is not my type. So I can appreciate much.

But my friends love ZenQ so much as keep recommend us to go there again.
