Cha-Shu Ramen - RM8.90

Nothing gets better with the reasonable price of Ikuzo Cha-Shu Ramen. It came with five awesome pieces of porky cha-shu served in their signature shoyu-based soup, some seaweed and spring onions. Ikuzo were really generous in the tender meat that was put inside. The soy based soup itself tasted really nice and not too salty. I love their thin chewy noodles.

Tonkatsu Ramen - RM7.90

Tonkatsu Ramen is another ramen with the classic miso based soup. It's serving was rather big as it came with generous of breaded pork fillets. You will love at first scoop of this miso based soup.

We ordered the think noodles for this Tonkatsu Ramen. I found my solace in a steaming bowl of miso ramen with long chewy noodes swimming alongside soft pork fillets. Good enough to be taken as the main course, the miso soup did give out a salty savoury taste to the whole dish.

Tokyo Ramen - RM7.90

Ikuzo Ramen offers 4 types of noodles which are Original Thin, Spicy Thin, Original Thick and Spicy Thick. The Tokyo Ramen is one of their signature dish. It was made from a Shoyu-based soup with some tender cha-shu, bamboo shoots, spinach, and ajitssute egg inside. Shoyu-based mean soy sauce as soup base. I choose the Original Thick noodles for this Tokyo Ramen. The thick noodles was not soft and spingy which was a good thing.

Ajisuke Tamago -RM1.00

If you fancy some eggs to kick off the night, then do go for Ikuzo Ramen's Ajisuke Tamago, which was essentially boiled japanese styled eggs. At RM1, it could do no wrong. Ajisuke Tamago is known to some simply as molten/lava egg, is a japanese flavored soft boiled egg commonly used as a topping for ramen or pork belly rice. The eggs are flavored in a soy marinade typically made of soy sauce, water, ginger and sugar/mirin then served cold.

Okonomiyaki Smile Jul 30, 2012   (Related Review)

Okonomiyaki RM4.50

Okonomiyaki is a type of Japanese savory pancake containing a variety of ingredients. The important sauce in this pancake is the Okonomi sauce. The Okonomiyaki was served with alot of Bonito flakes which tasted like like dried tuna flakes. Okonomiyaki is edible enough when it’s cold, but it’s one of those foods that is so much better when it’s freshly made and hot.
