Fried prawn wanton Smile Jul 18, 2012   (Related Review)

No one can resist this crispy appetizer or dim sum with the juicy shrimps and minced meat wrapped with the crispy wonton wrappers. The wontons are being deep-fried in batches until golden brown giving it a crispy texture.

This dim sum is very tempting with the equal brown color of each fried prawn wontons. Dipped with mayonnaise or sweet chilli sauce if desired for a sweet sour taste, or a spicy taste.

Shu Mai (Prawn Dumplings) Smile Jul 18, 2012

Shu Mai (Prawn Dumplings) is possibly the most requested dim sum standard by most customers that having Dim Sum. It comes in the reliable crinkly yellow wonton wrappers snugly encasing the pork-dominant filling. Wrapping is not so complex. But the most hard is the ingredients to ensure the Shu Mai is sweet, juicy and meaty with soft steamed wonton wrappers. Here it was all that and more! The dumplings came in small size so that we could finish with one bite.

Fried Oyster OK Jul 18, 2012

Fried Oyster - RM8

The Fried Oyster (O Chien) was a tad too oily for comfort, but they do serve these really huge oysters. Personally I would prefer slightly smaller oysters as these tasted too strong. The hawker was generous with their oysters. Abundant of oysters were being added into the egg. The eggs are fried into thin pieces then folded on top of each other followed by the oyster.

The taste of the eggs were good though, guess i'm not cmofortable with huge oysters, but if you are oyster lovers, then by all means these are good.

Penang Loh Bak Smile Jul 18, 2012

The Loh Bak or sometimes pronouns as Lor Bak. You can choose you preference types of fried stuffs from the stalls ranging from deep fried seafood, meats, prawn cakes and tau kwa.

After choosing your preference stuffs, it will be deep fried again and cut into pieces. The mixture of the fried seasoned food will comes with thick gravy sauce and also sweet chilly sauce. What make the loh bak special is the served sauce.

I always love to order loh baks no matter where I am be it in Penang or KL, the most important ingredient would be the meat itself. The ones I had here was tender and soft, crispy on the outside.

Cheap and Yummy Cendol Smile Jul 18, 2012   (Related Review)

Cendol - RM2

Last year I visited New World Park and I was surprised with the cendol price. It only cost me at RM2 per bowl. It consisted of crushed ices and cendol jelly with abundant of sweet kidney beans, served with santan (coconut milk) and brown sugar. The cendol really my thirst killer under the hot and searing sun as it was amazingly rich in taste and flavors.

The cendol itself was fresh, and soft coupled with sweet red beans and lots of ice. The santan had a milky taste to it, with added gula melaka, the dish certainly was for sweet toothed people.
