Ordered kimchi fried rice bento from The Street Cafe. It came in a while, not too long for us to wait. I love how they put food inside the metal container box, back to school feel. Kimchi fried rice is slightly oily, kimchi taste wasn't that strong. The whole set came in fried rice, fried egg, sausages and salad with tar tar sauce. Taste wise this is average. I can't finish the food because its too heavy for a breakfast.

Kimchi Ramen OK Sep 29, 2013

The street cafe located inside the asian avenue, it's an economy cafe as compared to the rest. Kimchi ramen from the street cafe is average. Ramen in Korea is just the normal instant noodles. But ramen in Japan is the knife- cut noodles. Kimchi ramen here has egg, sausage slices, sprinkled with seaweed and some chilis. Taste wise this is ok. Ambient wise the air ventilation is not too good, your whole body will smell oily.

Stir-fried spring onions OK Sep 29, 2013

Restaurant Chung Wa Dae in Ampang is another decent Korea restaurant that I love to visit. The restaurant owner is a old married couple from Korea, migrated here 7 years ago. Very kind and sweet. Korean uncle is the chef, he is great in cooking and taught us what to wrap with the grilled pork. Stir-fried spring onion is the must ingredients to eat with the grilled pork, it will be wrapped in a piece of vegetable and eat with one slice of garlic, spring onions, chilli paste and grilled pork.

Like I said, homemade side dishes from any Korean restaurant attract me the most.
Zen Korean BBQ restaurant serves different type of side dishes everyday. Homemade kimchi, vegetables, sweet anchovies with peanuts, korean egg rolls, lotus etc Lotus is sweet and soft, they did spent time in doing every single dish. Nice! I love their kimchi the most. Not over fermented, just nice.

Fried pork with kimchi OK Sep 29, 2013

Zen Korean BBQ restaurant in Ampang will be slightly packed during peak/lunch/dinner hours. Better to go early or try to give them a call for pre-cooking. Stir-fried pork with kimchi is our extra dish to eat with rice. Slightly sour but very nice to eat with rice. Pork is tender and juicy even it is a stir-fried dish. Not spicy for me. If you want, you can actually order this with just one big rice will do.
