For appetizer, Mayflower restaurant has served us a very unique dish. It composes of 3 different vegetables, divided by a line of harden flour, cooked in 3 different styles. Firstly, we have the spicy stir-fried asparagus. Not exactly very spicy, but it does have that really smooth chili flavour. Furthermore, the asparagus was also pretty crunchy and fresh. The other 2 vegetables were pretty normal, the gravy used can be found in plenty of other Chinese restaurants as well. Overall, a really light appetizer.

Really liked the simple presentation. All the elements on the plate were pretty well cooked and flavoured. The curry was rich, it wasn't overly powered with spiciness nor milkiness. The stir-fried long beans were very flavourful. Love the saltiness and a hinge of spiciness there as well. The rice was warm and fluffy. With that price, totally worth it. Awesome!

Specially made tofu with fillings such as prawns and vegetables inside. The crust of the tofu was crispy yet soft and delicate. The tofu itself was smooth and well made. Prawns and vegetables inside were pretty okay, nothing that special. I personally find the presentation and the texture of the tofu rather special, besides that, everything was pretty normal.

Chicken fried with salted egg as the crust. Basically one of the best Salted Egg Fried Chicken I've had. The crust of the chicken has the saltiness of an salted egg, not just pure salt. Some restaurant tends to fail on this part. The chicken would just be salty instead of a eggy-salty. Inside, the chicken was warm, soft and tender. The flavours of the salted eggs was engulfed in the chicken meat as well. Really liked it.

Curry Soup Smile Aug 27, 2013   (Related Review)

A serving of rich, aromatic and mild spicy curry. The owner insisted that this curry was possibly one of the best you could find in Kuala Lumpur and that many big bosses from different companies came here specifically to order that.

I had to admit, the curry was pretty good. The flavours were pretty balanced and it wasn't overly spicy. I would prefer it to be more spicy but then again, they had to make it so everyone could enjoy. The curry was also loaded with ingredients such as tofu, long beans, onions, crabmeat etc. Overall, I really liked it.
