Cheese Stick Cry Sep 23, 2013   (Related Review)

Wifey came out from her Tesco shopping, and was cross with me because I didn't share the parmesan sausage with her. So we decided to go Cake Sense again to get something for her. She choose the cheese stick, which wasn't as awesome as my parmesan sausage. The cheese stick was a bit dry, and the bread a bit hard, like it has been put there for a while. Priced at RM2.20, I would probably not go for this again.

Wifey ordered the dong guai stewed pork with white rice. We thought that it would be served separately, however, the white rice was drenched in the watery stewed pork. The pork was lean, and it was a bit dry. There were some dong guai taste, but overall it was quite bland too. Some pieces of black fungus was used in the stew as well. Perhaps wifey and I are most used to saltier food, hence we were not impressed by the taste here.

Mee Suah With Herbs And Rice Wine Cry Sep 22, 2013

I was in Paradigm Mall with wifey, deciding what to eat for dinner. As we were going up the escalator, an affable waitress beckoned us to patronise Taang Shifu. As we browsed through the menu, they looked pretty interesting, so we decided to eat there. I ordered that mee suah with herbs and rice wine. I was rather disappointed when the dish came, as it looked nothing like the delicious picture. The taste of the soup was OK, slightly bland. The mee suah was too soft for my liking. Overall, not a very good experience.

Fried Sui Kow Cry Sep 01, 2013   (Related Review)

When having a bowl of noodles, I always like to have a deep-fried crunchy side dish. I saw that Meng Kee Ramen offers fried sui kow, hence decided to give it a try. It was fried to brownish perfection. The skin was crunchy and nice. However, even though aplenty, the filling was too dry, and dipped in the sweet Thai chilli sauce, it is still unsalvagable. Priced at RM5 for five pieces, it was a decent price to pay, but I won't order it again.

Spicy Char Siew Noodle Cry Jul 02, 2013   (Related Review)

Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam

A friend saw a picture of spicy char siew noodle in one of the stalls and decided to give it a try. When the dish came, it doesn't look much. There were some slices of very dry char siew and some broiled cabbage. The noodle tasted OK, but the char siew and broiled cabbage wasn't very nice. The taste was definitely super spicy, but that's all the taste you can get, just tongue-numbing spiciness. I didn't enjoy this, and while we only paid RM4.50, it wasn't worth to eat.
