Fish Head Noodle Smile Sep 29, 2013

Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam | Noodles | Porridge

Restaurant Hock Seng Two is one of the famous kopitiam that sells hawker delights in SS2. It is the same row as the Chan Meng Kee Wan Tan Noodle restaurant. The place normally is packed during lunch hour, so sometime may require to share table with other. Plenty of food to choose from as it had more than 10 stalls in the restaurant. I have ordered Fish Head Noodle from one of the stall that is famous for it's porridge. The owner is so busy preparing the food as many people order from her. Surprisingly, she still can serve the food fast. I have requested not to put milk in my noodle. The ingredients include fried fish head, salt vegetable, tomato and toufu. The soup is clear type and the fish is fresh. Overall, the noodle is delicious and worth the money.

I have ordered Beef Noodle, but without noodle, sound funny right? The soup is clear type and rich in beef flavour. The ingredients include beef, beef ball and salty vegetable. Both the beef and beef ball is tender and soft. It is delicious and worth the money as they really give a lot of meat.

The place normally is packed during lunch hour, so sometime may require to share table with other. Plenty of food to choose from as it had more than 10 stalls in the restaurant. I have ordered Fried Kueh Teow from Robert’s Char Kueh Teow stall. The Char Kueh Teow is served hot and topped with prawn, slices of sweet Chinese sausage and lard. It is not too oily and not too wet type. The wok hei is enough which elevates the smokiness of the dish that is delicious.

Pie Tee Smile Sep 29, 2013   (Related Review)

One of the branch of Little Penang Café is located in Ground Floor, The Curve Shopping Mall. It serves authentic Penang hawker food and their specialties are Char Keow Teow, Prawn Mee, Assam Laksa, Nasi Lemak and Curry Mee. Desserts like cendol and ais kacang are also 'must trys'. The environment is cosy and pleasant and the inetrior design is similar like a traditional chinese kopitiam. I have ordered Pie Tee(6 pieces). It is actually a thin and crispy pastry tart shell filled with a spicy, sweet mixture of thinly sliced vegetables and prawns. It is so delicious especially when you dipped into their chilli sauce.

The taste is just normal and quite expensive.
