Pappadam OK Sep 26, 2013   (Related Review)

It started out with a stall at a coffee shop in SS2 Chow Yang here back in 1974 and grew to become one of the most popular “Mamak” restaurants in Klang Valley and Penang. Today, from the little stall around the corner, many such eateries have envolved into much bigger establishments with some owning chains of restaurants that carry same name. I have ordered Pappadam and Ice Milk Tea and it is just normal. But the environment here is nice and the price is a bit expensive.

One of the Original Kayu Nasi Kandar branch is located at Bandar Puteri, Puchong. It started out with a stall at a coffee shop in SS2 Chow Yang here back in 1974 and grew to become one of the most popular “Mamak” restaurants in Klang Valley and Penang. Their signature dish of course is Nasi Kandar, Roti Tissue, Lassi drink and Cheese Naan. I have ordered Maggi Soup (curry). The Maggi Soup of course is nice where the taste you cannot get if you cook yourself at home. The ingredients include tomato, vegetables and egg. Overall, the food is expensive compare with other normal mamak shop. But with their quality of food and nice environment, I think is worth the money.

Roti 3 Rasa Smile Sep 26, 2013

One of the Original Kayu Nasi Kandar branch is located at Taman Dato Ahmad Razali, Ampang. Nasi Kandar had its humble origins in Penang Island, Nasi’ means rice in Malay while ‘Kandar’ refers to a formidable stick that is slung across one’s shoulder to carry heavy objects securely hung on both ends of the stick. Their signature dish of course is Nasi Kandar, Roti Tissue, Lassi drink and Cheese Naan. Today morning, I have decided to stop by here for breakfast. I have ordered Roti 3 Rasa ( Egg, Planta & Kaya) and Teh Tarik. The roti is so tasty, especially when dip inside the dal and I think this is the only "Mamak" that offers this type of roti. The teh tarik is smooth which give you the kick to start the morning. Overall, the food is expensive compare with other normal mamak shop. But with their quality of food and nice environment, I think is worth the mone

Egg Tart & Kaya Puff Smile Sep 26, 2013   (Related Review)

One of the Tong Kee Brother Confectionery is located at Subang Jaya. It is one of the famous bakery shop in Subang where they specialize on egg tart. Upon entering the shop, I am attracted by the smell of freshly baked bread and the colourful pastries and cakes glowing from a bright showcase. The pastries here are "non halal" as they used lards, bacons and hams. My first thought was went to get their famous egg tart from the heated showcase. Somehow, I get attracted by the Kaya Puff beside the Egg Tart, so I decided to get both of them. The egg tart is nice to eat while it still hot. The pastry part is so crispy and the egg part is so smooth and soft. As for the Kaya Puff, the pastry again is very crispy, the kaya portion is just nice and is more solid type. Overall, I think the price is reasonable and the pastry is really tempting and delicious.
