Moo Moo Rice Bowl Smile Aug 30, 2013

Due to the high recommendations of this restaurant from many food bloggers on the internet, my bf and I decided to give this restaurant a try.

We arrived quite late to the restaurant and we were among the last customers that night.

I love how they presented their menu on an actual children's book. There was this trivia book which I was reading while waiting for the food to be served.

The interior design of the restaurant gives it a romantic yet retro mood

Love the bricks behind the counter. Some people may find it ugly but I find it rustic and tastefully done.

Pots and pans hung up. The food cabinet at the background reminds me of my childhood days where I would steal snacks from the cabinet.

I ordered the Moo Moo Rice Bowl, which from the name itself one could guess its beef served with rice. It arrived just in time for me to finish the trivia book cum menu. The beef was very delicious! It was tender and well marinated with a nice flavour to it. It has a strong beefy taste which I love it so much. The fried egg was also well made as it was not too oily. This dish comes with soup, which is also quite delicious, although I could taste some MSG to it. This dish costs RM15.90+, which is good value for money given how delicious this dish is. I would definitely come back to eat this dish again!

Tiramisu Smile Aug 19, 2013   (Related Review)

Upon checking out Grandeur's cake fridge, I notice one which is different from the rest. One which looks like a very home made type (because of the container) so I asked the worker what's so special about it. Apparently the tiramisu is only available on Saturdays and it has rum in it. So ok, I waited until I finish my main course before ordering. While having my main course, 1pc by 1 pc keep disappearing from the tray!

But luckily I get to have one of the last pieces. It's rich with coffee taste with just the amount of cream and layers of yummy sponge. The rum is the ultimate deciding point where it differs from the rest. It truly brings the cake to another level. I have not taste another tiramisu as amazing as this. It's a must try~!

Grilled Tiger Prawn Smile Sep 29, 2013   (Related Review)

We ordered this dish the moment we saw another table served with this. However, after ordering this dish, it took quite some time for it to be served, unlike the previous dishes which they have served.

After waiting for approximately 20mins+ I was awed by the size of the grilled tiger prawns! It was actually bigger than a size of a knife! We had to actually eat the prawns like a steak, which is to stab it with a knife and cut portions out of it. I loved the juiciness and sweetness of the prawns. However, i did not really like the marination as it was a little too spicy and strong in aroma which slightly covers the flavour of the grilled prawns.

For RM100 (2 prawns), I find that it is very value for money given the price and awesome size of the prawns.

Fried Rice Smile Sep 01, 2013

A fellow colleague recommended me to try the fried rice here as he highly recommends it. I came by with my boyfriend on a lazy weekend late afternoon as to give it a try. I would expect the stall to be closed as it was 2.30pm already but surprisingly this stall was still opened.

I promptly ordered the fried rice and I requested to add an egg as well. A short while later, the fried rice arrived.

I find that each grain of the fried rice is very loose, and not clumpy at all. I liked that the fried rice has wok hei, due to cooking in high heat. The taste is very nice as it is nicely salted with a nice flavour and aroma of the rice. The egg to me is the best part of this dish. The egg is very well cooked on the outside but the yolk is still runny. Mix the yolk into the rice and it becomes very delicious. For RM5.30 it is very worth it.

Chicken Alfredo Smile Jul 17, 2013

My gf and I decided to have a little celebration after her successful interview! And I recommended her to try Spaghetti Grill. They have an ongoing promotion of Buy 1 Pizza, Free 1 Pasta for RM35.90. We ordered Chicken Alfredo (my personal recommendation) and she chose the chicken garlic pizza. We ordered a guava bottomless and mango bottomless and the total bill comes up to around RM62.

The alfredo is seriously one of the better alfredo I've tasted. It's creamy but not too overwhelming. It gives enough sauce to savour without choking you. The flawlessly grilled chicken breast is the ideal companion for the alfredo. It's seasoned to perfection with slightly charred surface. Even the slice of bread is so-well cooked that it blends well with the alfredo. Portion wise, it's good for sharing unless you have a hearty tummy!

Recommended Dish(es):  Chicken Alfredo

Spending per head: Approximately RM30(晚餐)
