Apom Telur OK Sep 01, 2013   (Related Review)

On the way back to the car, this stall just only opened and so I duly obliged to give it a try. The stall which is manned by a solitary Indian lady works very fast and efficient so I did not have to wait long even though there was a lot of customers.

This apom telur is unlike many other apams that I have tried in Klang Valley before, mainly because it has a nice thickness to it. Apart from that, it also has a nice thick and soft dollop in the middle. The only problem is that the apom crumbles quite easily around the core and thus I had to carefully eat. For RM3, I get 6 pieces of apom.

Fried Oyster Smile Sep 01, 2013   (Related Review)

Another Penang's famous dish is the fried oyster which somehow has never failed me before in many different restaurants in Penang. Lucky for me, this is another fried oyster in Penang which is delicious.

The fried oyster here is very juicy and although not as plentiful as some other stalls, the cheaper price makes up for it. I like the fact that the oysters here are really big and juicy. The egg and starch combination is also very delicious. This particular stall utilizes more eggs than starch, which is commendable and definitely much more tastier.

For RM10, it is value for money given the size of the oysters.

Fried Lala Cry Sep 01, 2013   (Related Review)

I ordered the fried lala for sharing as the portions in this food court is generally quite small. I find that the fried lala from this stall is decent at best. The good part of this dish is that the gravy is quite delicious and flavourful as it has dried scallops in the gravy. However, the lala is not very fresh as I could taste some slightly mud smell from the lala.

Also, there are many lalas that are empty in the shell which makes me feel quite cheated. All in all a mediocre dish which I would never order again.

Hokkien Mee Smile Sep 01, 2013   (Related Review)

I ordered this dish as this was one of the few noodles selling stalls which opened at 6.30pm while many other stalls were still setting theirs up.

This dish came soon after ordering and it only costs RM3.50. I like the delicious taste and flavour from the broth of this dish. It has a nice mixture of prawn and porky flavour which makes it very addictive that I almost finished the broth. I love how the bihun is cooked, as it is firm yet it is soft enough.

This dish comes with 2 slices of eggs, beansprouts, pork slices and of course prawns. I would highly recommend mixing the chilli paste into the dish as it gives the dish a spicy edge.
It costs RM4.00 for a big delicious bowl of Hokkien Mee here.

Chee Cheong Fun Smile Sep 01, 2013   (Related Review)

I ordered the Chee Cheong Fun first, as it has been quite some time since I've tried some Penang styled Chee Cheong Fun. The dish arrived shortly and it looked very appetizing. This dish is garnished with a generous amount of sesame and fried shallots. The chee cheong fun is very smooth and soft which is very delicious. But the most important part of this dish is the gravy. Penang styled Chee Cheong Fun utilizes prawn paste as their base sauce and this is no exception. I like the taste and the strong aroma from the prawn paste which makes the dish very delicious.

This dish only costs RM2.00, very value for money.
