When it was served, I was 'cheated' by it's messy look. But upon further inspection, it actually looks more playful than messy, giving it more colors and texture to this eye candy dish. The pasta was laden with greens like broccoli, cherry tomatoes and flakes of fried garlic, which I simply LOVED! It's also accompanied by abundance of fresh clams, mix together with its spicy sauces. If the slices of fried garlic is not enough, I was fed with more chopped garlic in the mixture. It's a delightfully appetizing dish and I would recommend this anytime, for lunch or dinner.

As appetizer, I ordered the fresh mushroom soup. It was served with 2-3 pieces of toasts. The dish was beautifully decorated. Taste wise, it was very 'mushroomy'. The cream is not thick, therefore, I can savour more of its mushroom taste. There were also herbs mixed into the concoction which give it an aromatic twist. It also manage to distract me from the cream so I don't feel so guilty *laughs*.

Their menu reminds me of the big newsletter type that Komugi is using. The menu has columns and rows of dishes recommendation, some with mouth-watering images, some with super descriptive introduction of the foodSome of the interesting artwork using the name of the restaurant. The interior was tastefully designed and decorated.Very classy and harmonious designs even for the paper table mat.The lunch crowd was minimal but waiters were attentive and polite. The songs that they were airing were jazzy and comforting, perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon.There were also lounge-like chairs and table for those who like a cup of coffee and to hang out.I had the spicy beef bacon aglio olio. I wasn't expecting it to be very spicy for italian food but the taste it something that I enjoyed. It was quite spicy, very appetizing and unique for a pasta meal. The beef bacon very between soft and crispy, good enough for some light chewing and the taste goes well with the herb spreaded pasta. The amount of oil wasn't overwhelming, but could do with less. If you like garlic, this is a dish that utilize it's taste with the beef to create a scrumptious, appetizing meal.

While enjoying the calming ambiance of fatCupid, comes the famed fish & chips. It was highly recommended by the waiter who also recommended alot of other food. It was very tasty as claim and I enjoyed every bits of the fish and chips too. The chips although thin, is meaty and flavorful. The well-seasoned fish went well with the house-made tartar sauce. The batter was great, which made the fish such a delightful meat. The salad and dressing was appetizing as well. I truly enjoyed every bite of food at fatCupid!

On our last day in Langkawi, we decided to visit this restaurant which is near our lodging place and because it was named fatCupid, such a cute name! And I'm a sucker for names like that. We were seated in the covered patio to avoid the bright sun. The cafe was kinda hidden from the main road to avoid the hustle and bustle of the tourist area of Pantai Cenang and Pantai Tengah. We were the only patrons then and served by a chatty, flamboyant waiter.The cafe has a joint lodging place called La Pari-Pari which looked so quaint and cute! We asked if we could have a tour and the owners gladly obliged. The roomed were open concept, modern and tastefully decorated, with a small personal garden on each of the chalet. We would love to try this place for our next visit!From the patio, we could see the inviting pool just right in front of us. It was cool and calm, furnished by neighboring beach chairs.A littler further down is a large playground of sort. I could totally imagine coming with friends and have a truth or dare session or just to read a good book. Love the calm and green area, so soothing! There was also a tree house further down which we didn't explore. This is the logo of the cafe, pretty cute huh?And they have a selection of wine and alcohol for consumption with your favourite meat.They were also offering some of their specials but we decided to try something else instead.We ordered the thai beef salad as our appetizer and it could easily be a main as well. The beef strips were medium well cooked because I can't take it too rare. The salad was fresh and the sauce was amazing. It was tantalizing, sweet and sour, ready to set my stomach for the next dish. We were told that the beef came from Australia, which explains the quality of the meat. It was fresh, flavourful, not to mention a healthy selection eaten with salad. The presentation was also very well thought out and came beautifully colored.

We highly recommend this cafe for its quality food and calming ambiance. The workers were very friendly and accommodating too.
