The waitress also recommended for us to try their braised salted vegetables, so we can have the meal to be more balanced.

Not really a big fan of salted vegetables, I only ordered a small portion. This dish arrived very quickly, most likely because it was already cooked.

Their braised salted was surprisingly very good. It did not have a strong smell of the salted vegetable (which I preferred) but the flavour of the braised gravy was good. It matches the duck and the rice which gives me more appetite throughout the meal.

Not sure if this Sukiya is linked to the shabu shabu Sukiya but they definitely serve different types of Japanese food. This one serves mainly don and I had the teriyaki chicken mayo don set with added egg. There's basically no queue, it's self service btw. The shop is very big and spacey with little customers, quite sad considering the food is GOOD.

The sauce is slightly sweet and savoury and mix well with the mayo. The mayo is a bit too much though. The rice is moist and can be scoop up with chopsticks easily, just like how typical Japanese rice should be. After adding the half boiled egg into the mixture, it became less sticky but taste better! The miso is part of the set which I substituted out from soft drinks. It's not too salty, just the right taste. And didn't leave the thirsty MSG feeling after eating. It's an overall very satisfying meal!

Chicken Garlic Pizza Smile Jul 18, 2013   (Related Review)

So my gf ordered the chicken garlic pizza which I have never tried before. It came before the chicken alfredo and it was made fresh. I really like the fact that the crust is thin and not too crunchy, just the way I like it. The garlic smell is quite strong so if you're a fan, you'll love it. The amount of chicken is considerably alot too. The whole blend is quite pleasing with a good amount of cheese so its a nice change from the usual pepperoni pizza that I'd go for. The portion is big and best shared. Both of us took the RM35.90 deal, Buy 1 Pizza Free 1 Pasta and couldn't finish. We left about half the pizza which my bf came over later to finish for us =D

Shiro Ajitama Ramen Smile Jul 09, 2013

The ramen in Menya Musashi has been my favourite so far. Located in the highest floor of Isetan, 1-Utama old wing, on peak periods especially weekends, be prepared to queue for this amazing ramen.

I first visited this restaurant when it first opened and it has been my favourite restaurant for ramen ever since. At that time, the master chef was overlooking the operations so I figured it must be really good. It has been more than a year since and I am pleased to say that the quality hasn't dropped since day 1.

I ordered the Shiro Ajitama Ramen, which basically is the onion flavoured oil based soup. Upon entering the restaurant, order has to be made at the counter and payment to be made immediately.

After ordering, the bowl of ramen arrived around 20 minutes later. The ramen noodle is cooked perfectly, not too soft or too hard. What I like about the noodle is that it is freshly made and therefore I could not taste much preservatives in it. The soup is thick and very flavourful. The onion oil is very fragrant and gives the dish an overall zing taste. The hard boiled egg is cooked to perfection as the white is well cooked and the yolk is still runny. The only downside of this dish is that it is very oily and therefore not very healthy.

For RM26++, it is on the pricey side but it is worth it, given the great quality and taste of the dish.

Seafood Fried Rice Smile Sep 01, 2013   (Related Review)

Wanted to add on some carbs into our seafood laden meal, we ordered the seafood fried rice. Although slightly oily, it was a very enjoyable dish! It as very strong 'wok hei' which I adore in every hawker dishes. It determines the skill of the chef really. The amount of seafood was plenty, with squid as it's main star. We finished this in a jiffy and crave for more but we were already very full from the other seafood...
