Boston's Nyonya Curry Laksa  OK Sep 26, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Asian Variety | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta | Steaks / Chops | Burgers / Sandwiches

This is a very good place for meeting people for business lunch. It is air-conditional, with free wifi, seats with power sockets, ample parking, and the parking fees is relatively fair.

I was attracted by the photo shown in their seasonal menu, the Nyonya Curry Laksa.
The over taste is ok, but the noodles is over-cooked and become very soft, broken into pieces. The long beans are cooked, it is still hard with the crunchyness bite.

Will try some other food next round, not Nyonya Curry Laksa anymore

Ah Ngaw's Fish Ball Noodle

Ah Ngaw's Fish Ball Noodle

Not many chinese food restaurant can be found scattering around in Shah Alam area. Most of them are be seen located near the Taman Sri Muda, and Kota Kemuning area.

My friend's hubby introduced this place to me few years back. Whenever we talking about fish balls. He will be the first to shout out "Ah Ngaw's", and we always ask him what so good about it, he will simply claimed that the Ah Ngaw's fish ball is the real fish ball with the fish ball taste. Haha... well, i got to try it out myself.

The restaurant is located inside Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam. It is not facing the main road, therefore you may need to use a GPS to find the exact location. Overall the shop is clean and the staffs are friendly. You will get the prompt attention from the waiters.

Overall the serving is very simple, with just noodle and fish balls, and a few little pieces of salted preserved vege. You can see the soup is very clear and tasty, and I can taste the over-dose of MSG too. The fish balls are good, has the taste and has the good springy texture. nice to eat.

Pork Meat Noodle

Pork Meat Noodle

The restaurant is located at the border of Sungei Way, in Sunway Mentari. I heard they are very popular and with at least of 30min long queue during the lunch time. The shop is clean and the staffs are friendly. The entire shop is just serving the one type of food, the Pork Meat Noodles.

Althought it is just one type of food, you may have it in many different kind of variance. Such as the type of noodle choice, more minced pork, without pork lever, added with eggs, soup type, or dark-soy-sauce type.

I was there during lunch time, and I have to sit under the sun, out infront of the shop at the corridor for 30min. Got to try it, what so good about this noodle.

On this first look, I don't seem to be too "wow" about it. But overall after tasting the soup and the noodles, the scoring is not so bad. It is the Penang-type of Pork Meat Noodles. The soup is over tasted with MSG (a.k.a. Ajinomoto).

Overall, just ok, definately no "wow" from me.

Char Kuey Teow

Char Kuey Teow

the stall is named with the chef's name, Robert. he is origin from Penang. have heard from the some patron about his background. he has been frying Char Kuey Teow for more than 20 years. he used to business in SS2 Petaling Jaya, but the restaurant has shut down and then he moved to this new restaurant located in Damansara Kim to continue his business few years back.

his Char Kuey Teow, is believe one of the best in Petaling Jaya. haha...
i couldn't say he is the best, but i am just saying that it is good.

his Char Kuey Teow is fried to perfect, the taste is just right, not too salty. the beanspout are still crunchy. and the standard size is slightly bigger from other places.

Robert's Char Kuey Teow, the original Penang style fried kuey teow.

Was going around Petaling Jaya in the afternoon hunting for lunch and found this restaurant. first visit, giving it a try. look at the menu, there are not much varieties on the menu, but it is kinda of delicious. i am a salmon lover, therefore i ordered the Salmon Fish Noodle.

the taste of the soup is good. very tasty. personally, i added on more pepper into the soup to make it more spicy and to enriched the taste. as option, some people may not want to add on with the fresh milk. you can tell them not to add on.

my bowl of noodle is very sastisfied. creammy, delicious, tasty. the salmon meat is fresh and thick. and the portion is large enough to fill up my tummy. (for the ladies, it maybe consider too large).

RM15.90 per bowl. what say you? i think the price is quite reasonable. happy, and will revisit for sure smile
