Nasi Lemak Ayam: would come again Smile Apr 20, 2015
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Malaysian variety | Stall / Warung | Noodles | Nasi Lemak

I am not the local, but since this is quite famous in Seapark, so I just the title so. What is so special about this nasi lemak?
1. The fried chicken (perhaps you can found it other place, but still delicious, seasoning with little herbs)
2. The sambal, is not the usual sweet and spicy but salty. And watery.
3. The egg is fried on burger pan(like how people fried burger patty)
4. Apparently, this stall were also famous for their ais limau, but It just taste more authentic, taste less sweet only lor.The teh ais that we ordered also less sweet.
Indo Mee Goreng, taste wise is pleasant, but texture wise, the mee is quite raw and a bit hard.
Overall we have spent Rm 16 in total. Rm 5 for a plate of nasi lemak, and Rm 4 on the Indo mee.
Verdict:
I expect anchovies and peanut when people talk about delicious nasi lemak, which is absent here. But somehow, it's quite pleasant to eat overall, would still come for the nasi lemak, and eat until I get bored with it lol
Supplementary Information:
It's cheap and delicious!

SIngaporean Style Chinese Cuisine Smile Aug 11, 2015

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Dim sum

I don't know how much is this. Cause the boss treat me one. It is crispy outside, and soft inside! Most of the food here is self-made one, this include their toufu also.

Actually they have a lot of signature also. The boss cannt stop emphasize on how delicious and famous their Red Snappy Curry in CHun Kee, she even mention you miss something if you visit CHun Kee without even trying their Red Snappy(a type of fish) Curry, like curry fish head here.

Chun Kee Hor Fun Rm 12

Looking at the first glimpse , the price is a bit expensive to try. But the portion is really big, like 2 people serving.

It has  abundance of tau geh, fresh fish slide, and the broader hor fun than what you usually see.

It taste plain at first savour. Then slowly, I could taste the salty from Hor Fun, it's quite tasty also ler. THe fish slide is a bit plain however, can feel the freshness nevertheless.

Boss there, Mrs Yeo from are Singaporean, said that Singaporean like this dishes so much. Just like how Malaysian love Asam Laksa, Chaw Kuey TIao like that.

Apart from there, I can see that they go shortcut in term of services, cleanliness and on food of course. The reason that I said like this, because this is my first time enter a restaurant, to see the sight that their kitchen is so clean, as clean as hotel lobby that is ready for people to view anytime.

Probably because the bosses here are Singaporean, hence they are very particular on cleanliness , and their food.

Supplies of Seafood from Singapore every week too .

Thanks to The Butterfly Project Malaysia, I got the invitation to food review at Coco Ichibanya in One Utama!! I actually got quite excited because I have not trying Japanese cuisine for sometimes. I also didn't know that Curry Rice is one of the Japanese food.

The front outlook of the restaurant. The location is quite hidden actually, it's in the new wing of One Utama, beside the Breadstory, you can easily reach here from the LG center concourse area in New Wing =DIt's beside the Bread Story o!

Being a curry house, there are different level of spiciness too! Being a standard one , Level 1 (mild) to Level 5 (the most spicy one! )

Beef Yakiniku Curry Rm 23

When this Beeft Yakiniku Curry first served on the table, I was not really impress with it. First because it apperance doesn't look appealing, however it end up this is the second dish I like the most! The standard curry is just a normal taste curry, in which if you are not a spicy person, you can opt for this. (Although I didnt know how they judge the standard of "standard", but it's milder or as mild as Level 1 spiciness.)

The beef itself is tender, cut into thin strip, and stir-fried. Its delightly flavourful, and I like how they fried this with sesame! The overall of this dishes is just awesome!

Would recommend you to pair with level 2 or above curry spiciness. The beef itself is delightful, but the curry is too mild for liking.

Pork Cutlet Omelette Curry RM 26

Pork Cuttlet Curry Rm 21

This would be a more fulfilling dishes, as it has egg (protein) and big chunks of pork cutlet! Compare to other dishes, this one come with less surprise. It is still delicious, tender cutlet serving together with milk omelette that aim to keep you full. I focus more on the curry itself. Pairing with Level 1 spiciness. People who do not eat spicy at all could have try level 1.

Wagyu Beef Steak Curry Rm 48

Aside from a bit undercook, the beeft steak is tender, and it's the well seasoned. If you were a beef Lover, you can either opt for Wagyu Beef Steak or Beef Yakiniku!

Creamed Mushroom Omelette Curry

Pairing with Level 3 Spiciness, I drank water at the first try. I guess I would cough more, and feeling hot if I continue to consume more. Ironically, this appear to be my top favourite of the night. I knew this would be prefect of me by pairing with level 2 spiciness.

However mushroom and creamy are great combo, I try to omit the curry while taking this. The curry would be too much for me to handle soon.

The creamy mushroom remind me of carbonara. It is well-cooked, it remain juicy inside, without absorbing much of the creamy sauce outside, but the hot serving of it, in creamy & mushroom combo are just prefect. You get to try the juicy of mushroom and the creaminess at the same time, just oh-so-heaven.

Grilled Squid with Mayonnaise Curry Rm 24

Serving with Level 4 spiciness. I do not try this at all. For I already reaching the limit at Level 3. For those who like to goes up to this level, would advise you to get a cup of milk beside you =D

Smoked Salmon Salad Rm 10

I would definitely order this when I come here next time!! To be frank, I cant distinguish whether the salmon piece is smoked or not, but seeing the salmon on top of it, already trigger my desire to finish eat. The dressing was Goma (sesame sauce)

Bacon and Pumpkin Salad Rm 8

The bacon just perfectly smoked, tender and the pumpkin is soft.Considering the considerable amount of green vege, the about of bacon could be more. You can opt for Shoyu (Soysauce) or Goma (Sesame) sauce for this.

On the day itself, we also get to try the drink of our choice.

Strawberry Milkshake Rm 11

Pineapple Juice Rm 9

Strawberry Soda Rm 9

I would go for Strawberry Soda which is a bit gas-y, because the Strawberry Milkshake is too icy-cold for me.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience having dinner here. The food is delicious, and exquisite to some extend, price is standard.People, try your spiciness level here, and tell me which level that you can go.

Other menu that I feel like want to eat
1.Grilled Pork and Kimchi Curry Rm 20

2. Pork Shabu Curry RM 20

3.Japanese style mushroom spagetti Rm 19

4. Mushroom curry rice Rm 19

9/10 from my choosy boyfriend OK Jun 21, 2015
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles | Desserts

Actually, there are a lot of people there. I suppose I was going to wait about 20 mins, but well, it reach in 10 mins times, and the cha siu rice in 20 mins time. Fast service, the porridge and fried rice reach half way while we having our dessert, which is just nice. And despite so many people, the aircond still manage to calm us down, haha.

Mango Loh芒果捞 RM7.60
THis is the 2nd time I ordered this, cold ice mango cube and sagu at the bottom. Pleasantly sweet and cold make me refreshing!

Peanut Butter花生糊 Rm 3.40
Nice when serving hot, and the colour is so peanut, I actually feel weird saw its colour, looking very thick, look just like butter jam, but well, when I taste it, the taste is just nice, sweet and the thickness just like sesame loh.

Porridge皮蛋瘦肉粥 Rm 4.30
conventionally delicious, and I like it serving hot! Small portion like the portion during dim sum. Fulfilling for me cause I actually a bit tired to eat just now. Fried Rice with ChAshu 叉烧炒饭 Rm 12.80

THis is the reason my bf rated it 9/10, I even put 3 pics of this. First, the portion is big enough and fulfilling. Then, it's tastly, the chaxiu look like bacon is succulent, when balanced ratio of oil and protein tissue, you will craved for more!

A close up look. It actually serving with a home-made chiili sauce, but we both didn't try it, cause we just not used to dip with chilli.

FOr Rm 12.80 , the bowl has like 3 or 4 slides of bacon, each slide of bacon is well portionate with oil and protein.

The outlook of the restaurant. In SS2!
Supplementary Information:
Surcharge 6% GST is applied, hence our meal is RM 30.40 for 4 dishes.

Important tips:!!! The waiter will serve you wet tissue once you seated, if you dont wanna use, keep it until the meal end, and pass to cashier, coz towel is charge at Rm 0,30 per unit =.=

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Ramen/Udon/Soba

I am a Ramen fanatic! Okay, not really, still some distant gap to claim myself a ramen fanatic. but I really like to eat ramen. I wish to travel to Japan just to try on their fresh sashimi and ramen.  Apparently, there are different type of ramen in different city. But by saying Ramen, my definition is the thick base ramen soup, that kind of ramen is what I yearn for.

Hence, a visit into Bankara Ramen, ordering their signature Bankara Ramen that basically taste sweet infused with the aroma of fried shallot which look tempting, but taste sweet afterall. Not really my liking. I prefer the salty thick base soup type.

Luckily, I ordered their thick base tonkoyu ramen which is totally satisfying. If I have to moan, it is their scare amount of char siew. It is literally a thin piece of char siew, and that's it.

Rm 24.90 if I were not wrong.

Their ramen didn't come with soft boiled egg, so we have to order the soft boiled egg, which is bf's favourite separately.
Conclusion:
You can try their Bankara Ramen if you are okay with sweet type of ramen.
If you prefer those salty thick base, then their tonkoyu would suit you. YOu might want to add on soft boiled egg to complement it!
