Thick Gravy Smile Mar 26, 2014

Usually Loh Mee is eaten with meehoon mee. The bowl contains several thin meat slices which I feel is reasonably good. There is also some braised chicken feet , but there is little meat and I don't think it really helps in terms of flavor. Other ingredients in the gravy are a braised egg, pork lard, bean sprouts and fried onions. In particular, I like the use of pork lard as it gives a delightful appeal to the dish.

Tasty Noodles Smile Mar 26, 2014

The Signature One Ton Mee is delicious dish. The wantan noodles are handmade, which explains the springy and fine texture. As I requested for the dry version, the wantan noodles are drained dry and then tossed with black sauce (made of oyster and soy sauce).
Other delicacies on the Signature One Ton Mee are several nice slices of barbecued pork, a piece of pork wantan and some choy sum vegetable leaves. The barbecued pork is reasonably tender and pleasant to my taste buds. The pork wantan is quite delectable too, but there is only one piece for me to enjoy.

Nyonya Food Smile Mar 26, 2014

Set lunch is available for RM11.90. The menu changes on a daily basis. We opted for this set lunch today, which comprises of Curry Kapitan, Spring Roll, Omelet, Stirfry Potato Leaves, rice and Chrysanthemum drink.

The Curry Kapitan is a highly recommended chicken curry dish. The chicken is braised perfectly with the coconut milk-rich curry broth. The broth is not too spicy compared to Malay curry, yet very flavorful and tasty indeed.

Yummy Snacks Smile Mar 26, 2014

Residents of Tanjung Bungah are fortunate to have a nice pisang goreng stall in their area. Named Penang Tanjung Bungah Goreng Pisang, it operates at the back of a van parked beside the main road.

The banana fritters are coated with a layer of golden crispy batter, allowing the bananas inside to remain hot even though the exterior has cooled somewhat. The irresistibly-delicious batter is a trade secret of this stall. No wonder this stall remains popular over the years!

Nice Platter Smile Mar 24, 2014

Among all items on this Favorites Platter, the Mexican Chicken Rolls are my favorite by far. Each roll is made in burrito style, then deep-fried so that the coating is crispy. The roll fillings are shredded chicken, chicken pepperoni, kidney beans, corn and capsium.

I find the New Orleans Drumettes quite satisfying too. The lovely BBQ sauce makes the drumsticks very appetizing.
