After complete our meal on Famous Taiping Koay Teow Soup Restoran KaKak
now we are heading to the best chicken rice and char siew shop in Taiping, Kok Beng Chicken Rice, most of the restaurant in Taiping are very concentrated in one area which is a good thing for food hunter like us. Actually we are quite full after eating the delicious Mee at Restoran Kaka but since we are here already we should not miss the famous Chicken Rice which was interview by media and getting couple of award before.
It very easy to notice this restaurant as they have big banner and people queuing in front of the restaurant, Kok Beng Chicken Rice signature dish is their Char Siew, together they have steamed chicken and roasted chicken

We ordered mixed which consists of Char Siew and Roasted Chicken, Chicken is very smooth while Char Siew taste sweet and both is very delicious.
Chicken Rice is not muddy, instead grains of rice has some chicken oil taste which enhance the flavor of the rice itself.

It kinda hard to get table so table sharing is a norm here, when you sat down those aunty will “throw” everything into your table, just make sure those are what you want and they mark it correctly.
Prawn Dumpling skin is yellow color and transparent but it was very small. Bah Kut is soft and juicy.

Their most recommended dish was the Tang Hun Crab. Very generous amount of glass noodles given. Crab sweetness, pork lard and ham added taste to the Tang Hun and little bit of pepper make it even perfect. Size of the crabs is larger than usual and fresh.

Start our Ipoh stomach building from one of the famous Dim Sum in Ipoh, Yoke Fook Moon. Yoke Fook Moon is a 2 storey building and operate for brunch and dinner.

We reach around 10.30am and it was very crowded, we din’t realize there is 2nd floor and stupidly waiting for table around 20min untill one aunty told us to go upstair.

Muscle with Fish Ball (Left), Siew Mai (Top Right) and Har Kao (Bottom Right). Muscle with Fish Ball is something new which I never try in Penang before while Siew Mai and Har Kao is above average.

Some crispy stuff, overall taste good.

Chee Cheong Fun, one of the representative for Dim Sum. Chee Cheong Fun wrap in Char Siew and Prawn, topping with fried shallots and sesame, and sambai on the side. Chee Cheong Fun is smooth and prawn is very Q but the sambai given is not enough, anyhow you may ask for more if you like it.
