Curry Beef Rice Smile Jul 25, 2012   (Related Review)

The Curry Beef Rice here is a little disappointing. The beef slices are just too big. It’s actually quite tough to chew on. On the other hand, the curry is flavourful with the right sweetness and saltiness. Growing up on sambals and spicy food, I would prefer it to be a little spicier but the Japanese counterpart doesn’t think that way. Apart from the beef, the rest is quite good.

Hawaiian Burger  Smile Jul 25, 2012   (Related Review)

I liked New York New York Deli's bold colours of sofas. It also has a huge photo of New York overlooking the diners. Burger wise, the Hawaiian burger tasted good. The patty is quite thick too, which everyone loved. The slightly charred pineapple ring added a little Hawaiian touch to the burger as it exudes a sweet yet sourish taste to the savoury patty. The thick cut fries are a great addition to the meal too.

Beef Sukiyaki Smile Jul 25, 2012   (Related Review)

Another good dish here is the Beef Sukiyaki. The broth is sweet but not overly sweet. You might see that the ingredients are little but, as you cook and eat it, you’ll notice that it’s actually at the right portion. If you’re a big eater, you could order additional udon or rice with it. The beef slices are fresh and tasted good on its own when cooked in the broth. The best way to have it is to dip it into the raw egg. Ahhh, bliss.

Satay Smile Jul 25, 2012   (Related Review)

Apart from the tom yam soup here at Sri Q Thai, it has a barbeque section. But, you need to be there early to avoid disappointment. The foodstuff here got vanished quite fast! I got to taste the satay, which is not bad, with the right marination. It has a slight hint of lemongrass. The sauce is thick and peanut-y enough to my liking. I had the chicken wings too. It’s covered with a salty and sweet sauce, quite like marmite and it’s good!

Usually, you’ll have your fried rice with shrimps or char siew or even only with egg. Here, it serves Fried Rice with Otak-Otak. Interesting right? The rice is fluffy and moist. The otak otak gives a good flavour to the rice while the prawns give good texture to the overall dish. I wouldn’t mind if they add in more of the ingredients! The otak otak is not too empowering and fragrant with its spiced fish meat. It doesn't give out the fishy aftertaste and not too salty too.
