Tom Yam

Most of us would welcome any spicy and sour food for it is really appetizing. But trust me, you might want to give this Tom Yam dish served here a second thought. It’s really spicy not instantly, but aftertaste lol For me who is has a milder spiciness tolerance, needless to say, my face is being moisture with sweat in no time tongue But the food is really delicious. The soup is made with the right consistency of spiciness and the fragrance form the pamelo leaves, coupled with fresh seafood like squids, prawns and many more. Best served with white rice and prepare yourself with tissue beforehand too tongue

Begedil and Banana Fritters

It has been a norm over here to have some snacks during tea time. Somehow, we tend to binge on food after lunch time and start to yearn for finger food, especially fried stuffs lol Staying in Malaysia is definitely a blissful when it comes to 24 hours of food availability tongue At here, you can get a decent array of local Malay delights such as this Fried Banana Fritters. Unlike those sold in the city nowadays, the one served here is more genuine with slightly bigger portion. Taste wise still not too bad and I quite like the ‘begedil’, which is Malaysian deep fried potato patty. It is very soft and mushy like mashed potato. But it can be tad oily, still, I always love potato-themed recipes smile

Corn and Sago Smile Sep 05, 2013   (Related Review)

Corn and Sago

Also, do give their Corn and Sago dessert a try. I think it’s pretty delish as this is my first time having corn in such a way that incorporates rich coconut milk with corn and sago. The whole bowl is full corn kernels’ fragrance and goes smoothly on your palate. It is also bit milky and consistency is heightened by the addition of sago, which I find them amusingly chewy. Sweetness level is acceptable but better limit yourself to a bowl or two, since too much intake on coconut milk is not too good on maintaining a healthy cholesterol level. Anyway, there are still many more menus for you to choose from to suit your taste bud lol

Nasi Lemak

The café is actually pretty intricate with traditional ornaments. For breakfast, we have nasi lemak. It’s nice as it comes with very fragrant coconut milk and also the homemade sambal. It’s really awesome though a bit spicy. Else, you could opt for bread with butter and jam alongside a decent cup of tea. I actually not a big fan of marmalade, but this is quite delectable when spreading with butter, not too sweet. But the tea is a bit of higher sugar content lol So go easy on it by adding more hot water and it stil taste as good as before lol

D’Ark Resort Cafe

Janda Baik is actually a place well known for corporate training. That’s the reason why I get the chance to stay a few days here, also get to taste the food prepared by the local here. Besides, it also welcomes those who wish to come here for a vacation. They do caters nice and contusive chalets resorts suitable for family.

The surrounding environment is actually lushes green and very cooling, especially when night falls. You practically need not to on the air conditioner and just enjoy the cold air. Of course, vacation won’t be perfect without the elements of gastronomy right? ^__^Most of the food served here are of Malay cuisine. It could be tad spicy, so it’s advisable to inform them beforehand to go easy on the hotness lol
