Fried Tong Fen Smile Jul 25, 2012

Categories : Chinese | Malaysian variety | Food court | Noodles

This stir fried noodle stall which is operating in the morning hours offers option of stir fried Kuey Teow, Tong Fen and Lao Shu Fun. This plate of stir fried Tong Fen is with added chili, but with very minimal spiciness. The taste of the Fried Tong Fen is delicious, I love to order it whenever I am dining here. Usually comes with three pieces of prawns and a lot of "kerang".

Categories : Stall / Warung

This Garrett Popcorn Kiosk that is located at the concourse floor of the Suria KLCC Shopping Mall sells very delicious popcorn in different flavor, there is always a long queue especially during weekends and peak hours. The caramel crisp is my favorite, with delicious caramel coating, indeed a sweet treat, the popcorn is freshly and perfectly prepared. I love it.

Categories : Malaysian variety | Food court | Bak Kut Teh | Nasi Lemak

This Chinese congee stall start operating in the evening hours in Desa Setapak Restaurant, dishes available include various types of Chinese congee and soup, basically with ingredients selection such as Japanese seaweed, pork, pork intestines, pork blood cube and etc. The normal pork congee is priced at RM4.00 per bowl, comes with some lean pork meat inside and sprinkled with pepper, sesame oil and fresh chopped spring onions. Served piping hot and deliciously satisfying.

Wantan Mee Smile Jul 25, 2012   (Related Review)

Categories : Malaysian variety | Food court | Bak Kut Teh | Nasi Lemak

This stall of Wantan Mee operates only in the evening hours, selling wantan mee (dry or soup), dumplings noodle, and hakka noodle. The noodle is topped with slices of Char Siew and garnished with vegetables (sawi) and served with one small bowl of wantan soup, usually three pieces of wantan. What makes this dish delectable lies at its sauce mixture, unlike some other, the sauce for this is in balance, not overly soy sauce-based to overwhelm the whole noodle dish. Priced at RM4.00 for a regular bowl.

The evening mixed rice stall in Desa Setapak Restaurant is always full of crowd, undoubtedly that the dishes are quite up to expectation. For the curry vegetables, it tastes quite flavorsome, not too spicy, however sometime the long bean in the curry appear to be slightly overcooked. The soy sauce pork is delicious and very “meaty”, not just pork oil only. The varieties are quite a lot and reasonably priced too.
