A healthy option for indulgence Smile Mar 31, 2012

When it comes to buffet, it's always the variety of food and value of money that a diner would be expecting for, as for Shogun in Fahrenheit 88, is definitely a place worth visiting. Plus, Shogun emphasizes on preparing the food in a way that benefits the health of diners, which is an added point for this place.

Once stepping into the restaurant, you would be greeted welcome by the friendly staffs, and inside the restaurant is well decorated with ornaments and wall paper of Japanese theme.
There are few sections of the buffet counters, the middle counter that is the sushi and sashimi and teppanyaki section, what I love about this one is that I could watch the chef cooking and flipping the ingredients that I had selected, and then piping hot teppanyaki would be mine to savour as I like. tongue

While at the front near the cashier counter is where all different types of tempuras can be found, my favorite are the prawn tempura and the soft shell crab tempura. Both tasted crunchy though the soft shell crab tempura appeared to be little salty to my friend.

Not to forget the cheese baked oyster that tasted so authentic, while I don't quite fancy the cheese baked snails as I'm not used to eating that. shocked

There are also the dessert counter with all lovely cakes, fruits, pudding and ice cream which are all so tempting. I love the sago gula melaka and the pumpkin pudding (on the spoon), both lovely!

Other than that, there are soup counter, hot-wok section and dim sum counter in Shogun. So be prepared to be spoilt with choices here.

This Garrett Popcorn Kiosk that is located at the concourse floor of the Suria KLCC Shopping Mall sells very delicious popcorn in different flavor, there is always a long queue especially during weekends and peak hours. The caramel crisp is my favorite, with delicious caramel coating, indeed a sweet treat, the popcorn is freshly and perfectly prepared. I love it.

Al-Amar is quite a well-known Lebanese restaurant located in Pavilion Mall. As I’m not quite used to Lebanese cookery, the food to me is little sourly, though Al-Amar is still an excellent place to spend time with friend for its environment is really nice and clean with comfortable seating and friendly staffs. I like the Soujouk (Marinated Lamb sausage); I can taste the smoky flavor and distinctive aroma. The dessert, Baklava is unique and lovely presented.

The Fried Lobak Goh is sold at a very cheap price of merely RM0.50 for one piece in Kopitiam Desa. Normally the seller will have it cut into four small square pieces before serving. It tastes quite delicious, and its inner layer is quite tender.
You can also find pieces of dried shrimp used in this Lobak Goh. In addition, chili sauce topping is available upon request.

Tau Fu Fah Smile Jul 24, 2012

This Soya King truck has been operating in this area for quite some time, selling few beancurd products. This bowl of TauFuFah (Soy Bean Pudding) is reasonably priced at just RM1.50 per bowl. The bean curd’s texture is very smooth and soft, tastes quite delicious. In addition, customers have the option to choose either to have white sugar syrup or brown sugar syrup.
