Since my birthday is on 24th June, and I have 50% bonus points in my card for my next visit, when I use my birthday privilege. I do not really like the bonus points because it is just tp encourage one to use it the next time round, that means frequenting the restaurant more hence generating more sales.

As usual, I ordered the Monthly Promotion which was the Mango Sushi roll with fried soft shell ebi and also fresh raw ebi. The mango was sweet enough to add the taste to this (RM 13.80 Member Price or RM 15.80 Non-Member price). This is the best so far.

I also ordered the Maguro Sushi and also Salmon Sushi (RM 3.99 each) which was a buy-one-free one deal due to Citibank promo.

The Tobikko Gunkan (Fish Roe) was quite ok for only RM 1 member price.

The tempura soba was the worst of the lot. I have never eaten such a terrible tempura in my entire life. The tempura paste was coated properly to cover the entire prawn and the outcome was the bit and pieces of tempura flour all over the prawn. This is like the cheap Japanese food I had at Gardens Mid Valley food court. It was a total disappointment that I gave my feedback to the waiter. He said I should have informed them before paying the bill so they can change another one for me. I told him I was worried that the cook would split saliva into it if I asked for a change after complaining. I had a stomachache and went to the washroom after that. The cha soba was not bad but the portion was too little and not worth the RM 18.90 paid. The mushroom was not properly separated instead the lazy chef just dumped the mushrooms with their roots still intact and connected.

The Bacon with Asparagus was badly made as the bacon was overboiled though it was supposed to be crispy. The cook was too lazy to clean the asparagus properly and cut away all those fibre inside. And to think that I wasted RM 15.90 for this!

The Grilled Salmon sushi with some filling inside and some fish roe on top was just normal.

Sakae Sushi quality and variety is slowly depleting and I still prefer to eat the much more affordable and tastier sushi at Makiya Sushi, Setia Walk.
