If anyone were to ask me which dessert shop that I love the most, I would say California Cookie Company. It's a humble little stall at the Plaza Mont Kiara pasar malam happening every Thursday. And as bizzarre as it sounds, I do not fancy their cookies much, save for the white chocolate one. But it's the cakes and pies that makes me drool. My favourite is the carrot cake and apple pie.That said, those pies and cakes are seasonal stuff. Perhaps thats what makes them so desirable. This time I bought their chocolate cake and the new fall fruit crumble. The chocolate cake is moist even after a few days in the fridge. And the frosting is sweet and goes very well with the cake. It taste delicious in room temp or just out from the fridge.
The fall fruit crumble is something I adore. I adore the piece of crust that binds the fruits together. It's salty and buttery and smells wonderful. The fruits were abundant and very sweet as well. The packaging is neat.
I always look forward to their cakes and pies every week and would check out their facebook for anything new. It's a must try for any dessert and sweet lover.
