Recently KFC has been advertising their new products, KFC Seafood Symphony quite often on the TV. Of course, I cannot miss out the chance to try it as I am a seafood lover. However I didn't really put much expectation on it.There are 2 sets of KFC Seafood Symphony (RM13.50+) can be chosen, either Western or Oriental. I ordered a Oriental set, as expected, the taste are just below normal standard.
Yes there are real shrimps inside the shrimp stars, but I don't think they are using fresh shrimps to make it because I can't actually taste the shrimps inside.
The chili crab sauce is just some chili sauce, tomato sauce cooked together with some frozen crab filament, but not real seafood.
The colonel chicken rice portion is quite small but not as advertised. It also lack of some fragrance of what chicken rice should have. Overall, this is a very poor dish. I hope that KFC can put more effort next time before launching a new product but not just for promotion purpose only.All food are subject to 6% of government tax.
