For those who are not a regular around Masjid Jamek area, you may not have heard about this particular hotel cum restaurant cum bar place. I am not too sure about what are their room rates likes, perhaps on the average side tailored for those backpacker’s tourists mostly.

Since the weather was pretty dry with hot scorching sun the other day, we decided to head here for lunch. They do offer set lunch on weekdays, not too sure about weekends. For set lunch, I had black pepper chicken chop as the main with salad and soup. The salad and soup is more on a self-service basis where you have to collect on your own at another counter behind the tables we were seated at.

The salad was normal, with vegetables eggs and thousand island salad dressing. As for soup, it is also a vegetable broth, with lots of carrots and celery. It was kind of piping hot, very much to my liking. Since the place itself was quite chilly with air conditioned, the soup was the perfect balance!

As for the chicken chop, it came with mash potatoes, handful of vegetables like broccoli and carrots. Taste wise it was normal. The chicken meat can be a little hard for some, but for me the texture was just nice since I am a fan of breast meat.
