Sugar Cane prawns. As for the appetizer, we ordered the sugar cane prawns. The prawns paste was wrapped around a piece of sugar cane. We though the prawn paste has some taste of sugar cane but the sugar cane was negligible, we can’t taste it at all. The prawn paste was very oily. The paste was springy and it was slightly salty. The taste was slightly weird due to the ingredients in it.

Original clear soup. We ordered the standard set together with the Original clear soup. We had high expectation on the soup as this Damansara Village steamboat has been there was very long time and doing very good business. After the soup being boiled, I scooped a bowl of soup. The soup was very plain. I does not taste any herbal or chicken broth or whatsoever. We were disappointed.

Australian beef strips. Since we are eating steamboat, my father would not miss a chance to order the beef strips for swishing in the hot pot. A plate of beef strips were priced at RM18, which to me was slightly expensive as there was only a few slices. Nevertheless, each slices was a big piece. We boiled it till half cooked and it was very tender. Just the right amount of fats. Good.

Standard set. We ordered standard set for 2 pax. The set consisted of fish balls, fish paste, vegetable fish balls, fish noodle, scallop, mussels, prawns, fuzhou chicken balls, stuffed tofu, dumpling, fuchuk, quail egg, cabbages, white tofu, crabstick, meehoon, yee mee and egg. The ingredients were the normal ones except the fuzhou balls which was very tasty. The prawns were big and fresh too. The dumpling was not nice due to its gummy texture.

这里的卖点就是汤底是用药材作为汤头,同时这个也是这里的擦招牌之一.当品尝这个的时候那汤底是有一点儿的淡,过后就比较入味也许经过一段时间吧.而配料上也有很多的选择.

来到这里吃火锅一定要试一试这里的招牌汤头，药材汤。吃完了完全没有口渴的感觉因为这里的汤都是没有味精的。开始的时候可能只是喝到清淡的药材味道，可是把所有食材放下去煮了过后呢，汤头的鲜味瞬间提升了不少。

I'm generally not a fan of steamboat, but this place is pretty worthwhile. The Pulau Ketam seafood is superbly fresh. We particularly love the prawns and crabs, which are sweet, juicy and meaty. Definitely worth returning for. Prices may seem slightly high, but the variety and portion sizes make up for it. Some side dishes are also worth ordering. This is something special for a steamboat. Steamboat with alcohol? Yea, this alcohol won't really make you drunk at least I think that way. Haven't heard of anyone drunk because of steamboat. Their lala here is bigger than other lala. I'm sure they are not the same species but they are definitely from the same family. The lala here comes with a little bit taste of wine. But that is very minimal, don't worry that it will make you drunk. The purpose is just to enhance the taste and smell of it.

My family likes the relaxing atmosphere at DAMANSARA VILLAGE STEAMBOAT RESTAURANT. My children like to play around and do some fishing. The food is very fresh and the taste is great too. The price is resonable. Most important, it is very near to us. So, we don't need to travel far and caught in a traffic-jam.
