The bagel is also sometimes spelled as beigel in certain country is a traditional bread that is very popular in United States and Canada. The bagel is a traditional bread that is normally and commonly shapped into a ring form and is prepared from wheat dough by boiling for a short time in water first before baking it. As a result of that, the texture is a slightly dense, chewy, with somewhat doughy texture on the inside and slight crispy texture on the outside. The Bagels are traditionally baked with seeds on top at the outer crust, commonly poppy seeds. Some on the other hand would sprinkle a coated layer of salt on top.
