Signature Dishes
Ham chinpeng – red bean. After finishing our breakfast, my father was so tempted to purchase the deep fried stuff, so he went to the counter and chose one piece of ham chin peng – red bean paste. The ham chin peng was big and the red bean paste stuffing was a lot, almost filling up the whole ham chin peng. My father enjoyed it but my mother said it was too sweet for her liking.

I love a good nasi lemak, but this is not one of those times which filled me with joy. The rice was hard and cold; the rending was oily and the beef was very tough except for one piece - I struggled with one, swallowed another, and gave up the rest. Only the sambal was decent with sufficient kick, but too much sweetness and too little anchovy/onion flavour.
