While The Hill at Damansara Height is so famous, the pool at Jalan Ampang is in fact the sister outlet of The Hill. The food is delicious and the ambiance is romantic, would totally recommended for a romantic dinner for couple.Looking down from second floor is a big pool with lots of people partying by the pool side, totally make you feel the weekend in a blink.Besides the western food, Kyoto Lab in the pool do server japanese food as well ( I don't have a chance to try though).What would be better than having a Ice Cold Beer overlooking the pool?Tried The Pool's Best seller cocktail - Watermelon Slush which consists of Smirnoff Vodka, Midori, Lychee Liqueur and watermelon. Not too impressed as I'm not a big fans of Smirnoff Vodka, but it's totally eye catching.The Green Monster is lamb patty with mint sauce, totally awesome. The lamb is juicy while the sauce is nice. The pool serves a wide range of burgers, named the Monster burger. Give it a try and you won't regret it.Smoked Duck Wrap with Nachos is equally delicious as well. The crispiness of duck meat with fresh vege is good combination. The salty and crispy nachos are very appetizing.Overall, dining at The Pool is a wonderful thing, but the parking is expensive though. Self parking @ RM 10 per entry and valet parking is RM 20.

jalan ampang have nice very nice place called the pool. the deco is all in blue colour and suit the theme of this places. the night goes with the nice music play all night long and here the food is very very expensive. for the main plate each must exceed about rm 20-30 and above and the portion is small only. i do like the crispy nachos and the wrapped inside have the filling of the chicken meat.tasty as appetizer

这间酒吧与餐厅是位于Jalan Ampang。有点难以发现这个位置尤其是在夜间。但到了晚上这里很热闹。因为这里也是酒吧。我叫了Pan Fried Salmon。价钱40令吉 。Pan Fried Salmon有特制的酱汁和清炒菠菜在底部。有黄色的看起来像土豆泥，但我认为这是鸡蛋做得。鲑鱼真棒和真美味。很好吃。但服务差。

Now that the haze of whiskey & beer has faded after a week's worth of free-flow parties at The Pool, it's time to see what this Ampang freshman has to offer for regular customers on an ordinary evening.The Pool might seem more of a watering hole than a restaurant, especially since most of its tables are a little too low & some of its seats are slightly too high. But it has heat right now, enough to entice everyone here. If the menu feels familiar, it's because The Pool is the sister outlet of The Hill at Damansara Heights. Expect crowd-pleasing snacks like calamari coated with salted egg. Gnocchi with chicken sausage in cream sauce. It's not haute cuisine, but it's not horrible cuisine. Asahi beer battered fish & chips. We wouldn't be able to discern the difference between Hoegaarden-battered fish with something Carlsberg-battered, but rest assured that this is enjoyable. Smoked duck wrap with nachos, something tastier than what many Tex-Mex restaurants in KL serve. The meat's pretty juicy & flavorsome _ fowl that's far from foul.. Cocktails here are essentially the same as The Hill's. Our fave: Marmalade Pie (Smirnoff Citrus Vodka, Muddled Orange & Vanilla Milk, topped with caramelized Cointreau meringue _ yum!). Nutella Martini _ vodka, white curacao, frangelico, nutella, milk. Malacca-Loda: Angustura 1919 Rum, Malibu, Orange Bitters, Kaya & Coconut Water.The Pool is adjacent to Nihonkan Club on Jalan Ampang, beside the former Spasso Milano. Expect to hear more about this location soon: a Japanese restaurant called Kyoto Lab may open here by May.
