Soft Shell Crab Maki. After browsing through the menu, they also has daily special. This soft shell crab maki was their daily special. The price of the soft shell crab maki was on the higher side. This maki was coated with crab roe. The inner part was filled with cucumber slices, lettuce and soft shell crab wrapped in a piece of seaweed. The maki was a big piece and it was sweet. continue reading

Went to Jaya 33 for a quick lunch. Decided to stop by at Nagomi to try out the set lunch. We ordered the beef shabu shabu set that came with a small assortment of sashimi. The sashimi consisted of 2 pieces of butter fish, 2 pieces of tuna and 2 pieces of swordfish sprinkled with prawn roe. It was just so-so, as I am not a fan. I would rather have a couple of slices of salmon than butter fish and the likes. The beef was very thinly sliced. At first to pick it up was fine because they were frozen. After a while, the pieces started breaking when we pick them up to put into the pot. So instead of getting a slice, we get bits and pieces of beef. The set came together with a plate of assorted vegetables, taufu, mushrooms and tung fun. There was some peanut sauce, chilli and sesame seed oil as dips. The meal was finished off with some ice cream. You can have a choice between black sesame or green tea with red bean.Overall, the meal was just alright. The price (RM60) is also reasonable for 2 people. continue reading

Nagomi Japanese Restaurant is a nice place to have steamboat or having some other japanese delights in a very comfortable environment. Unlike other steamboat out there where you will have to sweat a lot while eating but Nagomi wont make you encounter that problem.Get some vegetables to balance up your nutrition. cabbage, baby bak choy, white choy sum, gai lan, lettuce, spinach, yao mak, and many more. FYI, all vegetables in Nagomi are soaked in icy salt water for at least 20 minutes in aids of removing pesticides residue, dirt, insects and bacteria. The salt also helps to prevent oxidization too. Nagomi cares about you, eat safe, eat healthily. continue reading
