It was a Thursday and I was without a dinner partner today. Thank god one of my colleagues accepted my dinner invitation and we went in her car and braved the Old Klang Road jam to reach Taman OUG where she said there was the best Frog porridge which I have written about in a separate post. Little did we know there was night market on Thursday here as neither of us has been here on a Thursday while I have not even reached this part of town before though I live 10 minutes away! I was quite excited seeing such a long night market, or course not as long as the one in Taman Connaught. Looking for parking was a problem and the car park area boy told us there would be parking but we could not find any. We ended up parking near the residential area, far awat from the kopitiam. When I was strolling in the night market, I was attracted by a lot of people eating something from a Thai coconut. It looked to tempting that while I was eating, I have thought about the ice-cream. I looked for the ice-cream everywhere but could not find it till much later. I finally asked one of the people walking around holding the ice-cream where they got it. They pointed straight. Eventually I have found it. The mini Thai coconut were small. The hawkers scooped two scoops of ice-cream to each customer. There would be peanuts and some other toppings added. Also, we would be given a cup of fresh coconut juice each. I simply love original coconut ice-cream (not the santan made version) which was so cooling. Even though I was still coughing, I decided to throw caution into the wind and had the ice-cream till the last drop. continue reading
