Hubby and I were wondering around KL and wanted to visit the much talked-about food court in Lot 10 which congregated many delicacies in KL. Hubby decided to order the BBQ pork and roast pork rice as the meat look pretty good on display. However, looks are deceiving. The roast pork is very dry, with hardly any fat on them. The skin of the roast pork is also not crunchy. The BBQ pork fared a little better, although I would probably ask them to hold the BBQ pork sauce as it was a bit too sweet. The rice was ok, fluffy and fragrant. The cucumber felt like it was cut very early and was left drying in the air, so it wasn't crunchy and fresh anymore. continue reading

The meats on display looked very good, and I decides to order the set which had char siew, siew yoke, and roast duck to increase the chance that at least one item tasted great; but Duck King defied the odds and gave me a wholly terrible meal. The char siew was sweet but very tough, and siew yoke was rubbery and cold, and the duck had almost no meat. The noodles were like rubber band and the sauce was weak and tasteless. I really didn't expect such a huge fail from one of my favorite food courts that is reputed for its good food. continue reading
