Chef Rasa Sayang Chinese Restaurant (亞順哥魚翅) outlet here has been operating in Crystal Crown Hotel for many years. They are specialized in serving the Sharkfin soup and all sorts of Chinese cuisine. I used to come here for family dinner or gathering during my childhood. They cater for hotel guests and also walk-in customers and even wedding functions. The place is quite old after so many years, but they did some renovation often. There is 2 huge raw shark fins display at the walk in pathway. This is easily cost for thousands.Appetizer - century egg. At first I thought is not fresh since the yolk looks so soft, but the waiter claimed that the egg yolk soft soft is a better grade century egg. After i tried it really taste nice and very different from those selling else where. The taste is very flavourful and texture is sticky just like ordinary half boil egg yolk. They offer sharkfin promotion often, especially during festive season. This is Braised Sharkfin with Crabmeat & Roe (蟹粉蟹皇褒翅). It is served in a hot pot. Can obviously seen the sharkfin pieces by pieces, can really bite and taste it deliciously. There are also generous of fresh crab meat and roe in it resulting the broth tasted sweet and flavourful of crab roe. The sharkfin comes with complementary of bean sprout. I like its stir fried before served because most of the restaurant serve it raw. This is very flavourful even eating without the shark fin soup. One thing funny is that I find their menu seems no change since many years back. Hahhahaa return after a few years is still the same. Nevertheless, the food here is quite nice and quality remains. Price wise is not low but worthwhile for the genuine and generous pieces of sharkfin.
