Wifey wanted to have teh ais, but we saw an advertisement on the wall about three layer tea, hence we decided to give it a try. The three layer tea came relatively quick, but to our horror, the bottom layer of brown sugar looks really thick. The tea is actually quite nice, however, the waiter put too much brown sugar, which made the drink diabetically sweet. Priced at RM2.50 a glass, it was a decent amount to pay. Note to self, kurang manis next time.

A friend saw a picture of spicy char siew noodle in one of the stalls and decided to give it a try. When the dish came, it doesn't look much. There were some slices of very dry char siew and some broiled cabbage. The noodle tasted OK, but the char siew and broiled cabbage wasn't very nice. The taste was definitely super spicy, but that's all the taste you can get, just tongue-numbing spiciness. I didn't enjoy this, and while we only paid RM4.50, it wasn't worth to eat.

Wifey said that she wanted to have chicken rice, so I ordered roast chicken for her. She prefers drumstick, but unfortunately they ran out, and I got her a thigh instead. Once we taste the chicken, it was understandable that they ran out. The chicken was well roasted, tender and juicy. The portion wasn't much, so I thought it was quite expensive at RM5.50. The rice is fluffy and well-oiled, whilet the soup given is quite MSG-ish, but that is expected. The chilli sauce that accompanied the chicke

The chilli sauce that accompanied the chicken rice deserves a mention, as it was a very nice blend of sourness and spicyness of chilli and ginger. Definitely thumbs-up.

A friend ordered a fried mee to share. It is basically fried like char koay teow, but using the yellow noodles instead. The fried mee came fairly quickly, and we all had a taste. It was fried full of wok hei, quite delicious. The only setback is that the ingredients seems fairly lacking. There were some prawns, cockles, beansprouts but not much eggs. Priced at RM4.50, it was merely OK.

Wifey and I were around the Subang Jaya area with a couple of friends after visiting a friend in the hospital. We decided to go to Chuan Kee Restaurant for a quick lunch before heading back home. I wanted to have rice, so I headed over to the mixed rice stall. There were a myriad of dishes to choose from. I took the sweet and sour pork, a stewed hard-boiled egg, some fried beansprouts and vegetables. The sweet and sour pork was a bit chewy, but the taste is quite alright. The stewed hard boiled

The stewed hard boiled egg was flavourful. The beansprouts and vegetables were just so-so. Priced at RM5, it was a decent amount to pay.
